Course Description:
The Mad Marsh Run comprises of over 30 natural obstacles as well as a few man-made obstacles:
Pungent Plunge/Boggy Bottom: There are 28 ditch jumps, but these two are the ones to look out for. Each is about 12 metres long, so it's not so much a jump as a wade!
Stairway to Hay-ven: a stack of straw-bales that runners climb up and over.
Termite Terror: runners will need to get on their hands and knees to avoid the electric wires, while crawling amongst ant hills!
Spider's Web: Dodge, duck and hop over strings that criss-cross between trees to get to the other side.
Shivery Swamp: this naturally occurring pond in the middle of the field will likely get your teeth chattering!
Aid Stations:
There will be a full medical team on site. Every ditch and obstacle will be marshalled. There is one water station, which runners will pass twice throughout the course. Upon completion of the course, runners will receive a bottle of Hook & Son's fresh organic milk.
Awards:
No award ceremony. It's not about winning, it's about finishing!
Spectators:
Spectator tickets are £5 each. There is a spectators' route, which can be accessed either by walking or by the looping tractor-and-trailer ride. The route takes spectators to some of the best obstacles, so you can encourage/laugh at your friends and family from the sidelines!
Parking:
Parking is free!
Post Party:
There will be music, as well as plenty of food and drink. We'll have a barbeque serving delicious beef burgers, alcohol, milkshakes and water
Other:
You must be over 18 to participate in the race. We have basic showers and basic changing facilities.
The Mad Marsh Run is very family-friendly, and spectating children will definitely love the tractor-and-trailer rides onto the marsh!

We offer great discounts to large groups of runners entering the Mad Marsh Run. (Standard individual tickets are £40 each, compared with the group ticket options below):
