Course Description:
Take part in the event that will prove to be the best race of your life… if you’re still alive to prove it.
Step foot in the mud and run this 5K as if it were your last. Basic Survival strategies will prove powerful. Enter as group, join with a partner or a team and you might stand a chance. September 14th, 2013, the forecast is a Sunny with a 100% chance of Zombie Manifestation. Use what speed and agility your mama’ gave you and whatever you do, don’t let the Zombie’s take your flag… Time is of no value, it is your life at stake.
The land is wet, the route is muddy, the obstacles are extreme… complete this 5K with your belt full of flags and defeat the zombies. Slip… and the lake will take you, take a wrong turn and the Zombies will trap you… only the courageous will survive with a flag. If your flags are taken you might get the chance to regain a flag at the immunization station, if you have the willpower to face the gutsy challenge.
Our obstacle course consists of a number of obstacles that have been selected especially for this event. They will range from easy to difficult and will test your agility, endurance and sense of fear. However, we want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time, so they will not be impossible to accomplish.
LEZMR is a 5K obstacle challenge along the shores of Lake Erie complete with mud, zombies, scares and fun. Before the race you will be given a belt with 3 flags (like flag football) that represent your health. The Zombies will take your flags and “infect” you. The object is to finish the race with at least one flag and survive.
Aid Stations:
Multiple aid stations will be on course. Paramedics will be on-site. Free drink will be available at finish line.
Awards:
No awards. Everyone will receive a custom medal as either ""Infected"" lost all flags, or ""Survivor"" if you cross the finish line with at least 1 flag.

Spectators:
Spectators $10, $20 day of. Includes access to the Survivors Party.
Parking:
Parking is $10 per car, carpooling is recommended. The parking lot is near the course. Parking is free for volunteers.
Post Party:
There will be a post party with food, music and vendors.
Other:
You must be 14 years of age on or before September 14, 2013.
We recommend that you arrive at the event 90 minutes before your scheduled entry time slot. This will give you plenty of time to park, check-in and get ready for the zombies … or become one!
You will be covered in mud after the race, so bring a towel and a change of clothing (especially socks and clean shoes to change into). You will be able to check-in your bag before the event and pick it up after you’re done with the race. We will have a “decontamination zone” and changing areas at the event so you can clean off and enjoy yourself.
The race will not be timed. It will be difficult enough to make sure you don’t get eaten.
If you choose to skip any challenge or obstacle simply wave your hand in surrender to the zombies. At that point all zombies will descend upon you and remove your flags.
