Course Description:
Prepare for the apocalypse and to be chased by zombies along a 3.1 mile course along the river and levee at Sutter's Landing in Midtown with a total of 10 obstacles.
Aid Stations:
There will be one aid station on-site with paramedics on standby. There will also be water stations along the course.
Awards:
Apocalypse Party-all ages Over 21 years of age can enjoy the beer garden.
Prizes:
Costumes encouraged for bragging rights
Spectators:
If you’d like to come watch your friends (or enemies) run from zombies, you can purchase spectator tickets. Tickets will be $5 each and can be purchased online, at packet pickup, or on the day of the event.
Spectators will receive a wristband with each ticket purchase. Please be prepared to show your wristband to enter the park area.
Parking:
There will be parking at Sutter’s Landing Park, however, we highly recommend carpooling if at all possible. Parking will be $5.
Post Party:
After you survive the zombie apocalypse, you will enter the Beer Garden with live music, food trucks, and other vendors.
Each participant will receive one free beer and will have their wristband marked off as they redeem this. You will be able to purchase additional beer tickets as well. Feel free to hang out and enjoy the music and fun after the run! The Beer Garden is “all ages” but you will be ID’d if you are 21+ before entering, so don’t forget to bring proper identification.
We also recommend bringing chairs or blankets to enjoy the festivities. Cameras are also welcome, but we will have professional photographers for finisher photos as well.
Other:
Can I sign up as a Zombie and a Runner? - No, sorry.
Can I register as a team? - No, you have to run for YOUR life, but you can run with your friends if you wish.
Can kids participate? - Yes, if they are 15 and older on the day of the race.
If I participate as a Zombie, can I do my own make-up? - Yes, but you must get it approved at the Zombie Make-Up Tent before the race begins.
What happens if all my flags get taken? - You can continue to run the course, but be cautious of runners that are still in the game.
Is this race timed? - No, this is not a timed race, so just have fun!
Are there Military discounts? No, sorry. We already offer affordable registration fees and portions go to the beneficiary.
What should I wear? - Runners – wear running clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting DIRTY. Zombies – wear whatever zombie clothes you feel comfortable in. Be creative!
Team:
No, you have to run for YOUR life, but you can run with your friends if you wish.
