Distance & Course Length:
|Overview||Multi-distance Obstacle Race, Worldwide locations|
|Kids||Yes. Jr. Spartan: ages 4-9, Varsity Spartan: ages 10-13|
Become a member of the Spartan TRIFECTA Tribe by finishing one of each Spartan distance: Sprint, Super and Beast, in a calendar year (January 1 – December 31st), anywhere in the world.
|Obstacles||Varies by distance; Sprint features 10-12, Beast contains over 30.|
|Terrain||Varies by location depending on topography; the course will use any and all natural obstacles and elements to make a demanding and interesting course.|
|Hardest Obstacle||Spinners: A spinning, corkscrew "monkey bar" designed to really test upper body and grip strength. If you fail, 30 burpees are waiting for you.|
|Penalties||Failing or skipping any obstacle results in a penalty of 30 burpees.|
|Gear||Wear athletic gear that will allow movement in any direction as you will be climbing over and scurrying under obstacles, lifting and pulling heavy objects and running trails, through water, mud, and jumping over fire. Gloves may help with some rope-based obstacles, well-fitting athletic shoes should help minimize blisters.|

Calling all Spartan…. Kids! Back by popular demand!! Come be a part of the largest Spartan Kids-only event in Spartan history! Returning for its 3rd year, this Spartan Kids-Only event attracts families from all over the Northeast, prepared to take on fun and challenging obstacles on a course all their own. Start your experience through our signature Spartan festival area filled with super cool kid-friendly activities, healthy snacks and training obstacles. Get pumped as the race MC gets you ready with a few quick cheers and burpees at the start line. Rock out to the latest music blasting throughout the course- as you climb, crawl, jump and run your way to victory. How much fun is it? You’ll know at the finish line.. while you smile for the camera in your Spartan shirt, headband, and finisher’s medal displayed proudly around your neck. (sorry parents, the medals are just for the kids!) Oh and don’t forget to check out the merchandise tent at the end to stock up on training gear for your next big race! Wanna show off your bling post around town? Head around the corner to Bedford street or Main street for some delicious grub or check out the Stamford Town Center Mall, home to over 120 retailers and restaurants! Aroo!
Welcome to Mill River Park in Stamford, CT! A 45 minute express train ride from NYC, Mill River Park is a 12-acre transformative space in the heart of downtown Stamford. Frequently described as a “Mini Central Park”, a quick tour reveals a beautiful sparkling and free flowing river with dozens of new species of wild life, a brilliant community-built playground, and 3 incredibly landscaped outdoor activation areas for our Spartan Kids Obstacle course. Over the past few years, they have begun 28 acres of revitalization, including the recent construction of the Brownstein/Selkowitz Pavilion, which will house the Nissen Carousel. The Nissen Carousel, with its 30 hand-carved figures and a fully accessible chariot, will provide joy for children of all ages.
Want a front row seat to all the Spartan action? Spectator will be FREE for the event, but you MUST RSVP in order to reserve your ticket. Enjoy the music and watch your friends and loved ones slip and slide through the Spartan course in the relative safety and comfort of the Spartan Race festival grounds!
Parking will be free for all racers and spectators at the parking locations below.

Want a piece of the action yourself running next to your child? Pay just a lil more to actually run the course with them. Sorry Parents, T shirts and medals are for the Kids only but we’ll gladly give you a cool head band and a high 5 along with a piece of the action.
Kids in the 2k event can be supported by an adult if needed. We ask that you stay to the side of the course and off of the obstacles unless you are registered as a race along.
Kids running in the 4k event. We ask that at this age unless you are a registered race along that you allow them to run by themselves while you get to roam in spectator areas and greet them at the Finish line.
