VERY Ambitious

Jul 08, 2017 by Jim B.

Looks like a first year event company and they're being VEEEEEERY ambitious. It's a serious event that they're looking to put on in multiple cities across the country, many either back to back or some even concurrently per their original schedule That's an extremely ambitious goal for a first-year event company. I've emailed them and messaged them on social media about attending, about being a vendor, about being an attraction at their event, about doing joint marketing for one of my endeavors, Nothing. Crickets. If they can connect their vision with implementation it could be a really awesome venue and good mashup of multiple activities. They've made some website changes and pushed a few dates back, but still don't have venues for many of the locations. Seems that would be the FIRST thing you do when developing such an ambitious schedule of events. The only date that ticketing is active is the Denver one, but that's a month away and they're not advertising a venue yet I really wish them well, but for the time being I'd probably NOT prepay and wait until the week of or even day of the event to buy. Protect yourself. They might happen or they might be vaporware.

They told us they had a venue for the Seattle event then a month before sent out emails saying they didn't have a location. Then, a couple weeks before, they totally cancelled the event. I don't think they originally intended to scam people. I think they got in way over their heads with these events, panicked and took our money. I would NOT sign up for an event at this point with them. There is NO guarantee it will happen and no guarantee you'll get your money back.

Buyer Beware!

Muddy Mortal has a strict no refund policy. This is so when they cancel your race arbitrarily, they can weasel their way out of refunding customers. Someone call the Aurors! This whole thing is a sham.

Muddy Mortal is a SCAM

Jun 18, 2017 by Scammed in Seattle

Do not give the Muddy Mortal scammers your money. They cancelled the Seattle event with no refunds, then deleted the Facebook event and stopped answering emails. They have a strict NO REFUND policy now on their website, which means they're probably going to take your money and run.

The Ultimate Mud Run, Obstacle Race and Adventure Race Guide , USA 1.0 2.0 24 24 Don't fall for this. I signed up for the 2017 of this event. About a month or two ago it was canceled without email or notice and with no refund. I'm out $100 and no fun event. I l
