As November is upon the OCR community, the racing season is about to wrap up. Two more championships remain with World's Toughest Mudder two weeks away and BattleFrog Championships in early December. This past weekend there was more than treat o' treating for the obstacle racing community. In Texas, Spartan Race held their team championships. In Atlanta, BattleFrog held a short course at the Lee Haney Games, and a host of mud runs took place throughout the US and the world.

BattleFrog headed to Atlanta, Georgia over the weekend for a special short course as part of the Lee Haney Games. The course consisted of numerous obstacle laid out in a spectator friendly configuration. The male champion at the end of the day was Jesse Goldblatt. The female champion was Holly Edwards. In the masters division, Carl Cajun Peltier won his division. In the women's masters division, it was Valerie Smith who took the top prize. In the teen competition, it was Makayla Pace was would win her division.

 

 


Spartan Race Glen Rose Texas

Spartan Race headed back to Rough Creek Ranch in Glen Rose, Texas over the weekend for both the Spartan Race Team Championship as well as special tribute to Chris Kyle organized by the Lone Star Spartans. Rough Creek Ranch played host to the original Spartan Race World Championships in 2011 and had been a favorite location for many obstacle racing enthusiasts.

The top male team of the day included Ryan Atkins, Hunter McIntyre, Matt Novakovich, and Isaiah Vidal. On the women's side, Amelia Boone, April Dee, Alex Roudanya and Rose Wetzel. For full results see here.
