The organizers, OCR expert, Rob Edmond, and mountaineer, Dave Pickles, aim to bring 60 participants the experience of a lifetime. Both Edmond and Pickles are ex-military boasting a wealth of expertise in their respective fields. The UK OCR crowd may recognize Edmond as the founder of the company Urban Attack, a company that specializes in OCR and adventure race events.

It’s so exciting to be part of delivering a truly once in a lifetime experience, it’s amazing enough just summiting this mountain, but what we’re putting on is something exceptional, the best bit is that it’s a team effort – all over the finish line together, we’re giving the opportunity to a wide range of abilities definitely not the reserve of fitness fanatics, mental resilience is a far more important attribute. – Rob Edmond

Mountaineers—and the layperson alike—will marvel in the accomplishments of Pickles, who has summited Mt. Kilimanjaro over 57 times. Over the span of 19 years, Pickles has led over 2,800 individuals to the summit of Kilimanjaro.

What Rob and I have achieved by bringing our world leading expertise together is taking the definition of OCR to the next level of aspiration and expectation. The colossal elements of OCR and Mountain have been brought together to provide a very special, challenging and unique Team experience. I genuinely believe that this event and experience will help redefine the participants expectations and excitement for the rest of their lives. – Dave Pickles
