2020 is off and running! We love seeing everyone's goals for this year. The OCR community is aiming high and we know you're ready to work hard and make progress.

Our first community member of the week is Emily. Her resolution in 2020 is to push past her comfort zone, both in racing, at work, and at home. We have a feeling it's going to be a big year.

At work, in racing, at home, in life. To look up, look around, be open to new things, find adventure. To push past my comfort zone. So to #beat2020 maybe I will go further, race those longer distances beyond the half marathon I've stuck to. A full trail marathon? An ultra? Or Maybe I'll head west past Tenessee for the first time ever. Vacation in California? @spartan Tahoe? Next, we have Adam, who is giving us the pep talk we all need this first full week of the new year! No one else is going to do the work for you, so it's time to stop making excuses and get moving!

It's the first Monday of the new year. Today, you set the tone for what 2020 is going to look like for you. Are you going to start on your goals? Is your mind telling you “I can't do it. I'm not ready. I'm just not motivated. I don't have time. It's too late for me.” Every single one of those statements are bullshit. Your mind is playing tricks on you. You are not your thoughts; you are your actions. You CAN do it. You'll NEVER be ready. You don't need motivation, because you can learn you be DISCIPLINED. You MAKE the fucking time for the things you truly care about. It's NEVER too late and it's ALWAYS worth it. Pick yourself up out of the floor, get out of bed, get off the couch, turn the TV off, and get started now. DO what you are meant to do. Start becoming the person you WANT to be now. One foot in front of the other. One minute after another. One breath in, one breath out. No one is coming to save you and no one is going to do the work for you. You have to do it yourself. Until you start, absolutely nothing is going to change for the better. . .
