The 5K Foam Fest obstacle races, mud run, and OCR information, distance, cost, dates, calendar, discounts, obstacles, reviews, and more

Get ready to get FILTHY clean with 5k Foam Fest!
What in the world could possibly be more fun than running through a course chuck full of mud, foam, and obstacles? Running through it with your friends, of course! Check out our video to see how much fun you can have together! Well, you’ll need bodies. So grab your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members and get them registered! Your team can be as big as you want. And remember, the only way to make sure you all get to run in the same wave is to register early and together, so don’t wait! Otherwise we can’t guarantee that you’ll be flying around in foam with your friends.
If you are looking to beat a world record or run so hard that you nearly lose bowel control then you might be disappointed. The 5K Foam Fest is not a hardcore race it is a FUNCORE race. The goal is to have fun while running. We will have a race clock at the end of the race so you can internally take note how fast you ran the race but you will not be given timing chips and we encourage you to focus on the fun aspect of the race rather than the speed.
It is a festival after all!! So be sure to come early and bring your friends and family. We’ve got several activities including our foam pit, mini inflatable obstacle course, and bounce house. We even have activities for the kids at heart! Like our Skyfall (A 25’ drop onto a airbag/stunt bag)!

5km foam fest
I have never in my life done a 5km run before, and despite having an asthma attack I did not let anything slow me down. I had such a blast and learned a lot throughout the run. It truly is a great way to bond with friends! As soon as I heard of the 2016 run I went and registered right away for my team to join in on the foam fun next year! This cannot come fast enough!!
J'ai hate d'y etre ! Sa va etre une première pour moi ça l'ait trippant !!
Saskatoon
- could've had more mud, and water under the lily pads, steeper hill for the rope and other small details. The forest fire/smoke situation/last minute set-up probably had something to do with that. Had a great time regardless, loved the loud music which could be heard throughout the whole course. The registration process was quick and everything was easy to find.. Great Job! Can't wait for next years, already registered! :-)

Amazing day in the foam
It was so much fun. A great atmosphere where if strangers needed help everyone jumped to help out. I can't wait to do it again in 2016. All the obstacles and the mud and foam just made it awesome. Loved the slip n slides and the giant water slide. Staff was great as well. It was a very well organized event
Red Deer AB Foam Fest 2015
What a blast!!! The course was well laid out, the obstacles were fun and mild to moderately challenging, and the foam was a fun touch.
My friend and I are fairly competitive and we ran the whole thing, but had fairly long waits at some obstacles because many people were walking. Next time we will aim for the first heat of the day so we won't have to stop, or it would be fantastic if they had a dedicated "run" lane for the obstacles that really lined up. And they could have had more change room tents available.
Overall, an amazing experience and I will definitely be back (and travel 5-6 hours to attend)!
