I never received a refund since this was cancelled....

It's 6 days away from the race and I can't find out if it's canceled or where it's located. This kind of press is not good for this mud runner.

Another Worthwhile OCR

This was a great event! Solid course with plenty of challenging obstacle (lanes)for all types of racers(Novice, Internediate and Elite). There was no shortage of climbs that ranged from grassy hills to rocky hiking trails. Plenty of water stations throughout the course. And now for the cons: 12pm heat started 15mins late, kids' race was subpar at best and the finisher medal is the wackest I have yet to get. All in all I enjoyed the race at a great price and would do one again.

First Ever OCR

Jul 18, 2016 by Joey Vance

Just completed my first ever Battlefrog. It was nothing short if a fantastic experience. The course was challenging, but not so hard that you didnt want to do. Absolutely thought having the three tiers to each obstacle was great! Novice, intermediate, and elite. My son was able to conquer some of the elite and intermediate, and I conquered the novice.
We had a great time and have already earmarked going in 2017 when it returns. Apparently in May next year instead of July.
If you want a fun time, want to be tested, but not broke, then the Battlefrog is an excellent choice in my opinion. From what I understand about other OCR's, this one isnt as muddy, but more challenging than Warrior Dash and Spartan.
Thanks for a great introduction to OCR's Battlefrog. See ya next year!!

I have ran quite a few different OCR races but this one by far was my favorite. The course was well thought out and the obstacles fun but challenging if you want them to be. Great build up to get you pumped and the volunteers were the best and most friendly I have ever experienced at any race.
I can't wait to do another one.

OMG! Just completed my first ever obstacle course. What a thrill managed to conquer my fear of heights even if it's just for one day. Participants were amazing especially my team mate Collin who waited for me at every obstacle to make sure I completed it without injury. Thank you to me team mates from True Conditioning for getting me ready and for suggesting we do this. I said that I wanted to do this to see how far I could push my body......well I pushed it today!

Nearly perfect event

Jul 03, 2016 by Kenneth Flood

Did the BFX at Allamuchy Scout Camp, and they really had a sweet course laid out.
The obstacles, with 2 minor exceptions, solid and challenging. The exceptions were that the normandy jacks could have been a little wider, and the cargo high knee got pushed down a little too easily, but inconsequential really. Battlefrog delivered on their signature "up and over" obstacles. And putting the lake crossing just before the final obstacle was brilliant, washed off most of the mud, dust and sweat for the finish.
The location was truly beautiful with nice hills, and as a major bonus most was wide track, you could run side by side and actually talk to someone to make the miles go by. Spot-on # of water stations. They did throw in a nice single track section that put extra burn on the calves.
The base camp area was a little tight, but that was just how the scout camp is built. They had to squeeze things in a bit.. hmm that park ranger cabin wasn't doing anything important, maybe next time put the merchandise store in there.

Great For All Levels

Jun 26, 2016 by Clark

Completed this race today and it was great. "Coach" gave inspirational speeches at the beginning. The music was well done and added to the atmosphere. However two things they did really well was space out the starts (hardly any bottlenecking) and obstacles for all levels of athletes. Each obstacle was divided into 3 levels (novice, intermediate, and elite). It made the course achievable/enjoyable for everyone. Can't wait for it to come back next year.

Great layout

The one bad part was having just one food truck. Applause for the layout and staff, volunteers and park committee(s) whom gave us a beautiful day.
