Adam Kimble’s Run Across USA: Days 14-16

By |March 2nd, 2016|

Exciting moment for Adam! He started running again today! Today started a new routine of intervals of running and walking. His initial plan was to do this all along, but since he’s been in a lot of pain he hasn’t run since the afternoon of Day 5. So running is huge deal! Even though he’s running, he’s still in pain in his left shin, left IT band and left Achilles. Adam is waiting for the day he can enjoy running again and not be in pain.

Adam Kimble’s Run Across USA: Day 12

By |February 27th, 2016|

Adam was a new man today after three days of rest. He started the day off strong walking from 4 am to 8:45 am and accomplishing 15 miles at a 15-minute mile pace. This was a huge improvement from his average twenty-minute mile pace four days ago. Adam has been setting small goals for himself to have tiny victories throughout the day. His overall goal for today was 40 miles with his pain at or below a five out of ten.

Adam Kimble’s Run Across USA – Day 3

By |February 18th, 2016|

Day 3 started strong. Adam went from Cabazon, CA to Mecca, CA. The tendinitis behind his knee was much improved and the course was relatively flat, with some rolling hills through wind farms near North Palm Springs. The route is a bit tricky from here to Phoenix as we are forced to find roads parallel to I-10, which is tricky to do in this part of the country!
