Cody Moat was named the 2017 Spartan Race World Champion on Saturday. After the race, he took a few moments to talk about winning the race and what it meant to him. Moat won his first Spartan Race World Championship in 2012 in Vermont than a relative unknown in the sport.
Arnel Banawa of OCRTUBE recently headed over to Germany for the OCR EC (European Championships) over the weekend. He captured all the action from the muddy and hilly course which featured over fifty obstacles. The 17-kilometer course offered challenging obstacles and terrain.

Hesco Bonefrog Challenge is currently having its moment in obstacle course racing. With the closure of another frog the profile of Hesco Bonefrog Challenge continues to rise. However, like many small independent race series Bonefrog has mostly been putting on quality events under the radar. The company was founded in 2012 by former Navy SEAL, Brian Carney, after spending thirteen years in the SEALS. Carney knew he wanted to be part of the OCR community even before leaving the SEALS. Civilian Military Combine the first hybrid obstacle race is about to make it's relaunch at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, New York next weekend. Civilian Military Combine is a unique event that features "The Pit" and then goes right into the obstacle course. Brian Carney founder of BoneFrog Challenge is the guest on this week's episode of the New England Spahtens Podcast. Carney is the former NAVY SEAL who founded the BoneFrog Challenge in 2012.
