MIAMI – Dec. 1, 2015 – BattleFrog, North America's leading Outdoor Fitness Event / Obstacle Race Organizer announces that it will offer personalized video highlights to participants in the December 12 Open Championship in Orlando in collaboration with Switzerland-based media company iRewind.  This will be the first demonstration of the technology in the OCR space in North America and BattleFrog has optioned the technology for implementation at all its races throughout North America in 2016.

BattleFrog's CEO Ramiro Ortiz lauded the company's commitment to technology and the overall race experience.  “Personal HD videos highlighting the athlete are the next big thing in Obstacle Course Racing,” said Ortiz.

“These 1-2 minute videos capture the individual's unique experience and present them in an engaging, easy to share format. They will be high definition, shareable with friends on social media, and will be included in the price of your race admission.  We are always investing in the best race experience for our Battlers. You Gotta Live It.™”

The video memories are anticipated to be a part of a long-term collaboration between BattleFrog and outdoor video pioneer iRewind. David de Picciotto, iRewind's co-founder, was enthusiastic about the opportunity to work with BattleFrog and enhance the participant experience.

Said Mr. de Picciotto: “BattleFrog is a leader in outdoor fitness events and we couldn't be more excited to partner for the first time at their Open Championship.  iRewind offers personalized videos, highlighting the joyous moments and accomplishments for participants to remember and share their story. We look forward to growing our relationship to all forty-four BattleFrog’s races in North America in 2016.”

In addition to the personal highlight videos, the BattleFrog Open Championship in Orlando is shaping up as one of the most anticipated and hotly contested OCR events of the year. BattleFrog stars Ryan Atkins, Lindsay Webster and KK Stewart-Paul (Webster and Paul tied for first in the Elite Female Division) will be defending their regular season points victories with $60,000.00 in cash prizes at stake.  Prizes will be paid out to the top podium finishers in various athletic divisions.  BattleFrog Championship Director Ben Killary said:  “All of the top names in OCR have registered for the Open Championship and the elite (prize eligible) waves are filling fast. We have planned one of the most beautiful courses you can imagine on the Wekiva river shoreline near beautiful Orlando.  Whether you are a professional, an aficionado, or a first-timer, this will be an amazing race experience.  Come join us on December 12 and join the fun.”
