Tough Mudder introduced Tough Mudder X in 2017. The one-mile event showcased some of the best Tough Mudder obstacles while mixing in grueling functional fitness tasks. The fast-paced race was an instant success among both spectators and participants showcased on CBS.
Tough Mudder X is back in 2018 with more events, more television time, and more athletes looking to take home the huge cash prizes. This year's events are expected to feature World's Toughest Mudder Champions, Olympic Gold Medalists, elite CrossFit athletes, and American Ninja Warriors.
More Tough Mudder X in 2018
Tough Mudder has expanded to include two Tough Mudder X Opens with qualifying rounds and prizes for top three finishers, Sunday, March 25 in Sacramento, Calif. and Sunday, April 8 in Miami, Florida. Top athletes in the Opens will earn placement in the Championship in Richmond, Va. on Friday, June 8.
The presenting sponsor for the event is KILL CLIFF a leader in the clean recovery and endurance drinks arena. With $50,000 on the line, one of the largest prize pools in the fitness sport and obstacle racing industry top athletes are already planning their season around Tough Mudder X competition.
Athletes from various disciplines are already slated to compete in Tough Mudder X, including World’s Toughest Mudder Champions (Ryan Atkins), CrossFit elites/Kill Cliff ambassadors (Jen and Sam Dancer), America Ninja Warriors (Jessie Graff) and more. Reigning champions Hunter McIntyre (12:26.20) and Corinna Coffin (14:56.40) will return to defend their respective titles.
