It's Friday so you know what that means! It's time to check in with the OCR community to see what's been happening. This week, we're focusing on athletes who hit the course in Jacksonville, FL last weekend.

First, we have Shannon, who was killing it at Spartan Race Jacksonville last weekend. She did three races, a Super and two Sprints. Quite a weekend! We can't wait to see what Shannon's got on tap for the rest of the season.

Race 2 of the weekend, ran the Age Group #SpartanSprint. I had a good race going until I missed the #SpearThrow (only missed obstacle). There was a penalty loop from hell that sucked some of the wind out of my sails. I finished 16th in my AG. I'll admit that I didn't have any high hopes for this weekend. I have progressed a lot with the training/running program I've been doing, but I know enough about this sport to know I still have a lot of work to do! My AG is full of some amazing females and tough competitors! Just “good enough” won't be good enough! But I do have some high hopes…#GOALS…before the year is over, so while I'm not disappointed in myself for this weekend, I am even more motivated to keep working!

Representing the Master's category, we've got Don, a.k.a. Dad, who took to the course with his son, also named Don! No mention of who came out on top in this father-son competition, though.

What is your first race this season?
