Awesome!

I wasn’t sure what to expect… the location and low price (in comparison to other races) is NOT a reflection of this race… this far exceeding my expectations and was one of the most fun I’ve had at a race! Awesome course and obstacles, really nice and friendly people, competitors and volunteers. Just an overall great race and I had a blast! 100% signing up for the fall race and next year etc…. Great job!

Awesome

I have not missed a Highlander Assault OCR since it started. If you haven’t raced HA, then you are missing out. Each race is different than the last, either by changing terrain, distance or obstacles. Make sure you put Highlander Assault on your bucket list; you won’t be disappointed. Great events, great organizers, great volunteers, great obstacles.

Race was a great time, obstacles were a blast! The set of bars at the end were a great touch!

Loved this race, it was fun and well organized

Amazing Team!

Aug 13, 2021 by James

The organizer and his team are always out taking care of everyone. I don't just mean making sure everything is running smooth; this is the only event I've been too where the organizer has introduced himself and had a conversation with me. Even his team felt genuinely invested in making sure every individual was enjoying their event.

The course itself is fun and challenging. It required a lot of grip strength, which was humbling. The swim through the pond was a MUCH needed cool down at the perfect place in the run.

There can be only one!

My 2nd year for the King Arthurs Challenge and it did not disappoint. Course map - Updated with more mud, swims and terrain, Obstacles - Updated with several new, more difficult and spaced just right. Let's just say, bring your A game!!!

This is a great event managed by locals but generating a following across the upper Midwest. I brought my son and his friend down for the race and we had a blast. Night runs can be sketchy but these folks know how to take care of you. Good mix of obstacles: walls, crawls, caber carry, trail running, etc.. We will be back!

Hot fun

Aug 10, 2021 by Tracey Catt

This was a challenging race in hot conditions. Obstacles were varied and fun in their challenges. It would be a 5 star if there was more water available- 4 water stations for 12 miles was tougher than it needed to be for the weather.
Would have liked a water obstacle earlier on- (like right after the mud ditch!) to help cool off. Loved the swim to the island! Love the cargoes and climbs!
Dark ages is my fav as well- we will be back!

Awesome

I Have ran both assault and dark ages and loved them. Too cool! The new redesign is amazing and made running 8 miles plus (furthest I have ever ran) not as bad. Lol. Rig was tough but it gives me something to work towards. Thanks for putting this together and I look forward to running again.

Best OCR

If you haven’t ran Highlander Assault, then you are missing out. This is an epic event ran by amazing people. They have a very diverse terrain. One mile you are running through woods then you are running hills on an off-road track. The obstacles are unique and challenging. You can tell they have pride in putting on an event like no other. If you haven’t raced HA then sign up. If you have raced HA then you are probably already signed up for the next one. I know I am!

The Ultimate Mud Run, Obstacle Race and Adventure Race Guide , USA 4.9 5.0 48 48 I love this run. I've only missed one since they started. The run gets better every year! Great mixture of water obstacles, strength obstacles, ACTUAL MUD! Awesome run! Great team
