Join the Battle! The Highlander Assault Obstacle Series is a Highlander themed grueling but fun event. Featuring a 4 mile 20 obstacle option, an 8 mile 27 obstacle option, or if you are thirsty for more do both courses for a total of 12 miles and 47 obstacles to become a member of the Highlander Elite Black Watch. Black Watch 12 mile racers will receive a bonus Black Watch medallion!
The Highlander Assault event will also feature the Highlander Village where you can hang out before and after the race enjoying D.J. music services, contests, several gourmet food vendors, beer, and sponsor give aways. Don't forget to take your picture with one of several Highlander Warriors in full garb walking the grounds.. Come join the battle and defeat the oppresive King's army, conquering the King's obstacle onslaught and raising the Highlander Flag to glory! Oh and if you are up for the challenge, don't forget your kilts!

Best LOCAL OCR
Highlander Assault OCR never fails to deliver! It is always a fun and challenging race with unique obstacles that challenge every type of athlete. The atmosphere is fun and draws you in so you feel like a part of things. I highly recommend Highlander Assault and Dark Ages to anyone as a MUST DO within a 3 hour radius!!

This is a great well run event. Course is challenging with great obstacles. Definitely give this a try.
I ran the 8 mile course this year for the first time and had a blast! I found most of the obstacles to be a challenge, but that’s what I was hoping for. The festival village was fun, the volunteers and staff were very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was great! Can’t wait to go back next year!
This was a great event! I was impressed that they added more and different obstacles compared to last year. We had a crew of 5 this year-1 more than last year. We had a lot of fun and we are all expecting to come back next year! Plus, the team checking us in was fun and helpful, the crew on the course was friendly and concerned, I pulled a muscle on the last rope climb and the guy came over to make sure that I was OK. Great group at Highlander, thank you!
Can’t Miss OCR
Highlander Assault is constantly upping its game and trying out new obstacles. This local race is something that seasoned obstacle course racers shouldn’t miss and one that is great for first timers!
Well organized and the friendliest people around. Multiple distance options and competition levels that match your experience. Good times! Highly recommend.

FANTASTIC EVENT! Upgraded again over last year! More trails, new obstacles! This event just keeps getting better and better. Have you heard of Tilt-a-Kilt?? You’re missing out if you don’t sign up for this one. Multiple distances make this a go for everyone- 4 miles to 26.2. I’ll be back again next year for the night race and for King Arthur. This race embodies the heart of OCR - fun, supportive, teamwork, challenging. And hello…..bagpipes ❤️
Great event
Well organized. Planned out nicely. The course was in great shape. The obstacles were challenging but doable. My only complaints are that there should have been done Gatorade or other sports drink on the course. Water stations were not mashed by anyone, they were self serve when I finished the monster hydro was already gone.
