Rugged Maniac, the name alone is enough to entice anyone looking to break free from their weekday drudgery and venture into the world of obstacle courses. The Rugged Maniac is a series of obstacles course races offered throughout the United States and Canada.
The weather has been unseasonably warm in Colorado during the month of September and that set things up for a beautiful day for Warrior Dash. Even the competitive wave that set off at 8 am was greeted by temperatures in the mid-70s and anyone who ran between 12-2 had to deal with temperatures reaching almost 90. This made all the water obstacles and the mud pit at the end feel so much better.
Rugged Maniac Denver has become a tradition for myself and a small group of friends. After being forced off the course last year due to lightning and even having the beer tent and festival area closed we were excited to get back out there this year.
