The BattleFrog Series Championship is set for December 12th, 2015 in Orlando, Florida. This event is the crown jewel of BattleFrog's first-ever Points Series season and is highly anticipated by the obstacle-racing community.
OCR World Championships is just about a month away. We recently sat down with both Adrian Bijanada, OCRWC founder, and Garfield Griffiths, Race Director, to get the inside scoop on this year's race. They gave us the insight we need to continue to prep for this World Championship event in October.
OCR Europe reported yesterday about a new European Championships coming in 2016. The OCR European Championships, according to the event website, are the independent Obstacle Course Racing Championships for Europe. The Championships are alternately hosted by different OCR event organizers and governed and administered by an Alliance of European OCR Associations.

This was my second Down & Dirty event since last year and both events had a great festival area in common. The turnout for Down & Dirty events (at least the two I have gone to) is high and varies from friends and families hanging out which makes for a good time and lots of smiles and celebrations throughout the event/day.
Community is what most point to as the best thing about obstacle racing. Meeting old and new friends is often the highlight of race weekends. Even so, the community has evolved from the earliest days. A recent article in Men’s Fitness Magazine hinted at the evolution: “Before it was a slick, Reebok-sponsored international obstacle-racing phenomenon, the Spartan Race was a quirky, little-known adventure race in Vermont’s Green Mountains”.
