Arizona based Phoenix Evolution hosted their second annual OCR Relay Race benefitting PTSD Veteran Athletes. This unique obstacle course event paired racers who competed to complete as man obstacles as they could in 4 hours.
The Terrain Race in Chandler, Arizona was 3.2 miles of pure mud! This race was held on the grounds of Raw Hide, a special event venue located about 20 miles south of Phoenix. Terrain has changed a few things up over the last few months and one of the first things that I noticed was that the starting line no longer took place in the infamous pools.
The Mogollon Monster Mudda 5k Mud Run has been held in Payson, Arizona every year since 2012 and has been rated "The most outstanding event in Arizona". This race is a local, inexpensive, family-friendly event that boasts over 40 obstacles and some challenging terrain.

As a mother of two, a personal trainer and a competitive racer, I am fiercely passionate about encouraging the next generation of obstacle course racers. So when an opportunity came up at Phoenix Evolution (an OCR gym located in Chandler, Arizona) to coach 25 kids, ages 5-13, I could not have been more excited.
75 degrees, rolling, sandy, mountainous, desert terrain and a whole lot of Spartans made for one epic weekend at Fort McDowell. This venue did not disappoint.
