Last weekend, athletes hit the course despite record heat in many places across the United States, including the Spartan US National Championships. Let's check in with some community members who made big waves in Utah!

Utah held big wins for Zane– He made it through the entire course without failing an obstacle! No penalty burpees for this guy! Zane's son also took on the Spartan Kid's Trifecta this weekend. Here's to many father-son races in your future!

I had such a good time this weekend at the final race of the Spartan US National Series! This race was the first time I didn’t have to do any penalty burpees for failing an obstacles! It feels amazing to know that my hard work over the past year has started to pay off. I am also finishing in the top 10 to 15 percent of my age group and feeling like I have more to give. I plan to continue working on building a better me and see where it takes me. I’m also SUPER proud of my son for completing his kids trifecta. I think he has caught the bug like me and just loves to be out on the course. If all goes to plan, we will have many many more races together. This weekend was a win in my book, but now it’s time to focus on the next one. Raquel also had an awesome race and came away with a Spartan World Championship qualification! She also turned the trip into a race-cation and did some sightseeing at Zion National Park. Congratulations and best of luck in Lake Tahoe!
