Warrior Dash obstacle races, mud run, and OCR information, distance, cost, dates, calendar, discounts, obstacles, reviews, and more

As of July 30th, 2019 Warrior Dash has announced they are ceasing operations. Please see this post for details, including several other OCRs who are stepping up and offering free races for affected Warrior Dash racers.

Warrior Dash is the world's largest running series and is held on challenging and rugged terrains across the world. Participants bound over fire, trudge through mud and scale over 12 obstacles during this fierce 5K. From couch potatoes to novice runners to extreme athletes, Warrior Dash truly is an event for all athletic abilities.

The inspiration behind Warrior Dash was to create the most bad-ass day possible. It is a day where participants can challenge themselves, be active and get muddy. Participants tackle the course and then celebrate their accomplishments with beer, food and live music.

Warrior Dash is an alternative to the classic 5K and provides an incomparable experience for participants and spectators. The unique combination of athleticism, live music, turkey legs and beer keeps Warriors coming back for more.

Warrior Dash is partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The St. Jude Warriors program encourages Warrior Dash racers to fundraise for St. Jude. With the help of 2012 participants Warrior Dash has raised over 2 million dollars for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Red Frog Events prides itself on creating the Active Entertainment Industry, which is a combination of fitness, entertainment and event management. As a leader in the industry, we strive to make each Warrior Dash more unique and challenging than the last. Innovation is continuously brewing back at Red Frog Events office where the whole team is dreaming up new obstacles and twists for Warrior Dash. In the end, we are in the business of having fun!

Warrior Dash Wilmot Wisconsin 2019

Jun 10, 2019 by Andrea

I wouldn't even call this "Milwaukee" 2019 as it was an hour away. However, it was 100% ON A SKI HILL. It wasn't so much an obstacle run as it was just running a 5k up and down ski hills which was incredibly brutal, hot, and not what I signed up for. The obstacles were almost all climb up and over ropes or tent shaped structures, or under wire. There was only 1 water obstacle halfway through and one decent mud pit at the very end. The rest of the run was hot and just weaved up/down the hills. I would not do this run again for this price with the venue and obstacles. The organization/locations of the showers, changing rooms, ID checks, etc made no sense and forced you to walk back and forth. There was only 1 food vendor and the line was painfully long for average food. This event could have been sooo much better.

My husband and I have done WD for 3 years now and this year's race in KC was a huge disappointment! Of the 12 'new' obstacles, 5 of them didn't exist. 3 of the existing obstacles they did have were crawling under barbed wire. Granted they gave each one a different name but they were essentially the same obstacle. We ran at 8:30 so El Capitan was closed for safety, which is understandable. But after running past it, I didn't mind missing out on it since it was essentially a huge slide. Not a big slide into water or muddy water, just a big slide, nothing fun to look forward to at the bottom. I think they got lucky it rained so much before the race or it really would have been just a dirt run with a few cheap obstacles. Although I didn't mind the t-shirt design, they were cheap. For a 10th Anniversary Tour, you'd think they would have gone all out but it seems like they phoned this one in. This was our last Warrior Dash for sure.

this is my 3rd Warrior Race....2016 my girlfriend and I did the Washington DC race...this year my son, friend and I did the Clarksburg race....You get a lot for your money from beginning to end. I love running these races and cannot wait for them to come around again....

Great event!

This was such a blast. It was my first time ever doing an OCR. A friend did it with me, his first time also. It was a great one to start out with I think. It had some challenges but overall it wasn’t too hard at all. We definitely got to run, get muddy, climb over, under and through things and drink beer! Great volunteers and other runners! Very fun time. Can’t wait for next year!

Crooked Organization

Jun 18, 2018 by Brenda

STAY AWAY FROM THIS ORGANIZATION!! They changed the Tri State location from June 23 2018 to October 27, 2018 and from North Jersey to Eastern Long Island just on FRIDAY! ONE WEEK NOTICE!
No Offer for refunds. The venue is now 3 1/2 hours away from me and at the end of October.

There is nothing tri-state about an eastern Long Island Location.
Choose another organization for your mud run adventures.

I enjoyed the obstacles but hated all the hills. I think you should be told about the hills. That first one is a big one! Also the lack of water stations was very disappointing. There was one at the beginning and not another one till almost the end. Neither the medics or volunteers had any to hand out either. I was completely dehydrated by the end of the course

First experience with Warrior Dash. Took up a volunteer shift from 8-1:30, got let off our shift at 12:40, and I figured me and my buddy would have enough time to go back to our car for our race gear, com3 back and change, use the porta potty, and drop off our bag at bag check before racing. We got to the start line at 1:20 only to be told the last wave of racers was let through at 1pm and we weren't allowed to race. When we talked to the staff at solutions we were told they don't give out free race vouchers and we were given a support email to find a solution instead. We had reason to believe they would let out waves at least until 1:30 since out volunteer shift was scheduled to potentially last that long, but the staff failed to communicate to us that the last wave would be let out only 20 mins after we checked out and now we have to wait a whole year before the next one in Socal. It's not worth it to travel out of state for a 5k obstacle race to me. It was gonna be my buddy's first OCR as well and now I don't know if he'll be able to race it next year since he usually works on weekends. Made a 4 hour drive and wasted money for a campsite reservation the night before just to get screwed over. At least I eventually got a free race code after emailing them. Btw, the email staff gave us didn't work and I had to fetch the support email myself. My advice, go with Spartan races. They at least make sure you race at the same event if you volunteer and want to run.

Great fun

Great fun. My daughter and I did this run last year in the rain and decided to come back a second year. We had a great time and enjoyed the obstacles.

I been doing the NYC Warrior race 3 years in a row now. I found it more organized each year since. The race is still the same location. It is still a fun race with most of it covering hilly wooded terrain. Its not really an advance race and each year seems to get easier obstacle wise.

It's not really for the hardcore but made for the beginners, 'weekend' warrior and those who love to Instagram & Facebook look what I did Sat and look how muddy I got as people were rolling in the mud obstacles like pigs in a mud bath just to show that.
