She founded DirtinYourSkirt.com, an OCR community for women as well as former contributing editor for Mud and Obstacle Magazine and industry expert for About.com. Last weekend was the second stop of the championship season with Warrior Dash World Championships in Tennessee. While most of the industry was focused on Warrior Dash, additional Spartan Races and a Savage Race were taking place in the US as well as a host of regional an local races.

Last year Max King and Kimber Mattox took home the top prizes at Warrior Dash World Championships. Both came into obstacle course racing from the track and field as well as trail running worlds. Top Women to Watch at Warrior Dash World Championships

This year's women's field for the Warrior Dash World Championships is wide open. Kimber Mattox, last year's Warrior Dash World Champion, is the only female from the top five last year to confirm racing on Saturday. This means a new set of faces will most likely be on the podium this weekend. Some familiar names in OCR are headed to the race, but many athletes from the track and field world are making their way to Tennessee.

With big prizes and a fast-paced course, athletes from across the sporting spectrum are headed to Warrior Dash this weekend for their chance at a slice of the $100,000 prize purse. Some faces are returning and some new entering the field of competition this year. With four out of the top five male finishers from last year coming back to Warrior Dash World Championships again, the race is shaping up to be a battle.

2015 Warrior Dash World Championship Schedule

Warrior Dash World Championships is headed to Milky Way Farm in Pulaski, Tennessee this weekend. Athletes from around North America will converge on this farm to see who is the fastest Warrior Dasher. This year Warrior Dash extended the course from the typical 5k distance to 3.7 -miles this year. The course will feature 12 obstacles common to Warrior Dash athletes.

The Netherlands to Host First European OCR World Championships

OCR Europe first reported that the first edition of the OCR European championships will be on June 12, 2016. Who is Spartan Race World Champion Zuzana Kocumova?

While it may have been a surprise to many in the United States when Zuzana Kocumova from the Czech Republic crossed the finish line first in the Spartan Race World Championships. For Europeans, her finish was less of a surprise. Kocumova recently won the Spartan Race European Championships a few weeks ago; we did a little digging to find out more about this 36-year-old.
