Bonefrog has returned to the Carolinas with a new take on some old obstacles. Plus, an Aussie gives her review of her first Bonefrog.
Speed is the name of the game at Stadion races. Station Nationals Park's 2.1 mile course is packed with obstacles and a lot of stair to climb, but gives you the chance go all out.
This is the second time I have done a Terrain Race, last being in 2016. My general impression of that race was that I was unimpressed but being that they were a newer race they had room to grow. Now being 2018, I heard that Terrain Race is undergoing changes. So, I decided to give them a shot and my opinion remains about the same.
Hoo-Haa-Hoo-Haa-Hoo…..It’s time to get Savage!! Savage Race always brings their A-Game to every single event. In my opinion, they are the best obstacle course race on the market today. Not only do they have the best environment that promotes fun over competition. Let me break down the latest event in Maryland and tell you why they are the best.
The event style that is taking hold of the obstacle racing world are endurance events, more specifically the multi-lap format. Enter Bonefrog Challenge’s Endurance event. The endurance distance was introduced last year and is very reminiscent of another company that also had a frog mascot. Mad Anthony Mud Run is a race for those really looking to push themselves to the absolute limit of their running ability. For those of you who like to get really dirty, this race is also for you!
It’s 18 degrees outside, overcast, I’m standing in 6 inches of snow. Race director Jake Moore is briefing the other 10k runners and me about the course and what we are about to encounter. He tells us of a war raging on the course, we must be safe and conquer the course, and that we only have 2 hours to finish. This is War-X Arctic Fever.
It’s another year of obstacle racing, the same races are on the market with either the same obstacles or same venues that we have seen every year. After a while it can get a little boring for those who have seen and done it all. If you are like me then you are looking for something new. Enter, War-X. I came across this new race company by word of mouth, I read their website description, I found it very interesting but a little confusing.
