Rugged Maniac is often known for their appearance on the hit show Shark Tank. However, the company was in business long before the owners graced our television sets. Robb Dickens, Chief Operating Officer for Rugged Maniac took the time to talk about the company, its growth, and why it is the best value in OCR.
Running on a team can be a great way to experience an obstacle race or mud run. It's fun to race and compete with friends and help each other over the tough obstacles. Here are a few tips to make racing with a team even more enjoyable.
Now divided into teams, the competitors return to Camp Grit to find that their living quarters have been personalized. This is the first opportunity the new teammates have to get to know each other. George, Hannah, and Richard are enthusiastic about their teams, while Gill is feeling out of her comfort zone. Gigi is the only female on Team Grady; who have dubbed themselves the “Alpha Dogs”. On the flip side, Shermon is the only male on Team Chole.
Tough Mudder X is rapidly approaching and Tough Mudder gave Mud Run Guide a sneak peek at some of the athletes who will be attending this unique obstacle course race to be televised on CBS. It appears all-stars from the obstacle racing, CrossFit and Ninja Warrior world. Even an Olympian is jumping into the mix.

Banawa also captured a beautiful tribute to Gitte Luers who died tragically a week ago at an obstacle. The video captures the essence of the series and pays tribute to a beloved member of the OCR Community.
Mud Run Guide is always looking for the next great option for you and your obstacle racing needs. Recently we caught wind of the KOA series from Saucony, a brand not well known as an OCR go to shoe. We were intrigued by the KOA ST as it says "MUD" on the side of the shoe. Any shoe that has the word MUD on it intrigues both Brett and Margaret. How could it not?!?
There are so many great things to be said about this race! This was my very first time running Rugged Maniac and it was AMAZING! This year, Rugged Maniac- Portland was held at the Portland International Raceway which has always made for some pretty great racing terrain.
