Many in the OCR community received the same email this afternoon. The highly praised Civilian Military Combine (CMC) has cancelled their events for the rest of the 2015 season and is seeking new venues for 2016. CMC is a hybrid event which integrates a functional fitness workout and an obstacle race, creating a truly unique racing experience. Our contributors have often given the series high marks since it's inception in 2011.

Terrain Mud Runs held their Signature Event last weekend in Flagstaff Arizona. Set on Fort Tuthill County Park at 7000 ft in the Ponderosa Pines Terrain Racing offered two course distances of a 5k, 10k, and 1/2 mile kids course. It was a fun and challenging event for all ages and athletic abilities. The perfect weekend adventure for the entire family or as we have come to call it in the OCR Community, #RaceCation.
When the opportunity came up to interview Spartan pro/elite Brakken Kraker I was excited and jumped at the opportunity. Brakken competed in to the 2014 OCR World Championships, is a former OCR Warrior champion, currently a stay at home dad for two amazing young children, and races with and against his brother McCauley Kraker.
