Get ready to get FILTHY clean with 5k Foam Fest!
What in the world could possibly be more fun than running through a course chuck full of mud, foam, and obstacles? Running through it with your friends, of course! Check out our video to see how much fun you can have together! Well, you’ll need bodies. So grab your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members and get them registered! Your team can be as big as you want. And remember, the only way to make sure you all get to run in the same wave is to register early and together, so don’t wait! Otherwise we can’t guarantee that you’ll be flying around in foam with your friends.
If you are looking to beat a world record or run so hard that you nearly lose bowel control then you might be disappointed. The 5K Foam Fest is not a hardcore race it is a FUNCORE race. The goal is to have fun while running. We will have a race clock at the end of the race so you can internally take note how fast you ran the race but you will not be given timing chips and we encourage you to focus on the fun aspect of the race rather than the speed.
It is a festival after all!! So be sure to come early and bring your friends and family. We’ve got several activities including our foam pit, mini inflatable obstacle course, and bounce house. We even have activities for the kids at heart! Like our Skyfall (A 25’ drop onto a airbag/stunt bag)!

Loved this run! Wished it was longer and a bit harder but as a family with our two kids it was fantastic! Can't wait for next year! Thank you
Foam
I had lots of fun! There were a couple obstacles we ended up waiting about half an hour for all covered in mud and foam which wouldn't have been as bad if it were warmer. I think there were just too many people running all at once. Still a great event!
Foamy fun!
A fun event for every age and athletic ability! Lots of foam, water and mud. Perhaps leaving bigger gaps between the wave times would decrease the long waits at the obstacles.
Awesome time with all the family and friends with some pretty good weather. The foam fest run was a blast only downside was the long wait times for some of the obstacles. Other than that Foamfest nanaimo was a great time!
First time doing thisGreat for all ages just turned 71 have never done anything like this before and had a great time.Could have been a bit more water and foam on the smaller slides other than that it was great
Fun for all fitness levels
Had a great time with my team... Parking was a delay and the lineups at a couple events were too long as you are sitting wet but Each obstacle was great fun! I would ask for more water give out on the tube slides so everyone goes and a large foam bounce around right at the end ... Look forward to next year!!
Nanaimo Foam Fest
This was the first time I have ever participated in anything like this and it was awesome! Hoping to get my whole family involved next year for a family reunion. I loved that there were people of all ages, shapes and sizes as well as beginners to those that seemed experienced. What a fn atomosphere! I was worried I would feel out of place being a beginner but that wasn't the case at all. My only suggestion would be to work on the congestion problem at the lily pad station. You may have enough interest to do two days next year. I am definitely telling everyone I know. Thank you so much Foam Fest! :)
Lots of Foam
My group at I were at the very start of one of the wave times and the foam piled up so high that we couldn't see. Lot's of fun but for a person who is usually not claustrophobic can be scary when they can't see anything. I suggest more water breaks rather than 2 stations. Great fun had by all
Race was very family friendly. Really disappointed in the lack of photos for our team. We had the team photo at the end and only a couple of members from our group had an action shot.

Was awesome! Maybe more foam obstacles and netting so people crawl in mud. Also be more organized we had really long wait time for obstacles. It would be nice if there was music on whole course too:)
