Get ready to get FILTHY clean with 5k Foam Fest!
What in the world could possibly be more fun than running through a course chuck full of mud, foam, and obstacles? Running through it with your friends, of course! Check out our video to see how much fun you can have together! Well, you’ll need bodies. So grab your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members and get them registered! Your team can be as big as you want. And remember, the only way to make sure you all get to run in the same wave is to register early and together, so don’t wait! Otherwise we can’t guarantee that you’ll be flying around in foam with your friends.
If you are looking to beat a world record or run so hard that you nearly lose bowel control then you might be disappointed. The 5K Foam Fest is not a hardcore race it is a FUNCORE race. The goal is to have fun while running. We will have a race clock at the end of the race so you can internally take note how fast you ran the race but you will not be given timing chips and we encourage you to focus on the fun aspect of the race rather than the speed.
It is a festival after all!! So be sure to come early and bring your friends and family. We’ve got several activities including our foam pit, mini inflatable obstacle course, and bounce house. We even have activities for the kids at heart! Like our Skyfall (A 25’ drop onto a airbag/stunt bag)!

Had an amazing amount of time. Not too difficult so was a lot of fun for all abilities.
This event was so much fun! I attended with a group, and we found the event to be well organized, challenging, encouraging, and hilarious.
The only suggestion that I have is to have more music throughout the course (somehow) and to have more access to drinkable water throughout the course.
That said, all in all, this was a fantastic experience and I am planning on attending again in 2017 with more friends!
5km Foam Fest
Foam Fest 2016 was my second time running this event, but it was a first for my ten year old daughter!
This was the best possible way to spend a day bonding. As well as allowing me to see what an amazing young woman she is becoming. She faced and conquered every single obstacle, even if there was some hesitation on the taller ones. She did them all! For being a girl who tends to shy away from things like this I couldn’t have been prouder. I found myself cheering her on, she would laugh when I’d slip in the mud and she wouldn’t. We shared something special out on the course. I love the way this challenged my daughter to step out of her comfort zone and push herself. She is still very proud of herself, and that is a really important aspect for her in this pivotal time in her development.
This leads me to thanking the wonderful organizers of the event. The obstacles though challenging for smaller ones still were accomplishable, which gives them such a new outlook for themselves. The variety was wonderful also. She loved the mud holes and the fact that she was able to run across the lilypads. She was sure she might fall in since her aunt did the year prior. My only suggestions would be to set up larger or more changing tents, especially for the woman as there are higher numbers of female participants. Possibly some warming lamps/heaters, it was very cold when our race happened and as much as you layer and prepare; once you stop running the cold hits you like a wall. As well as consider switching to a headband for the numbers as the pins on the bibs are such a risk to popping the obstacles, tearing the bibs, falling open and pinning a participant as well as not damaging clothing with the pins.
We can not wait to do it again this year; her younger brother wants to run with us now that he is old enough. Family fun is priceless, and to have the amazing photos and stories to tell afterwards are worth every sudsy, muddy laughter filled moment. We would love to win a chance at some free passes. Races on a single mum’s budget tend to be costly, but we really enjoy them.

My first 5k foam fest event and I loved every minute of it! Can't wait until the next one!! Great event for the family to enjoy!!
race was great, just a few small things, like the mud crawl that was nothing but rocks and caused a lot of scrapes and the web obstacle could have covered more distance to make it more difficult, and the jump off the platform that you had to pay for wasn't well marked and waited in line about 20 min before we realized we needed money for it, but other than that, well organized, obstacles were super fun and my friends and I are already registered for next year!
Foam fest is the best!!!
By far the best 5k EVER!!! Can't wait to do it again!!!
great family fun
We had never tried one of these runs and my husband was a bit unsure of doing it. By the time we were done we had all had a blast and had bonded as a family. We only wish that our youngest daughter could have participated and our oldest daughter stayed behind to watch her. It would be nice to have a few more activities for the younger children to do, but she did love what was there.

A race that the whole family can do together. We had tons of fun and plan to do it again.

I did this race for the first time and I had the best time ever. After being sick for years, it was the perfect race for me to start back at it. Luv luv luved it.
Loved this event so much I took my 2 kids (age 12 & 10) to wasaga a month later for another foam fest!!
