The Wheel, the docu-reality show on Discovery Channel ended on Friday with the season finale. Out of the six participants who began The Wheel, only Luke and Adam made it to day sixty. Adam Kimble joined Mud Run Guide along the way to share all the behind the scenes stories throughout the season.
Discovery Channel's The Wheel is nearing the end of the season. With only one episode to go Adam Kimble and I break down episode 7. Episode 7 saw another competitor tap out with Lindsay realizing she was at the end of our journey on The Wheel after a powerful dream and message from her late grandfather.
The Wheel is a new docu-reality show on the Discovery Channel. The show chronicles the adventures of six participants as they navigate through a variety of terrain in South America. Adam Kimble, one of the show's participants, chats weekly with Mud Run Guide's Margaret Schlachter about each episode and takes us behind the scenes.
Last year, Mud Run Guide featured Adam Kimble's Run Across the US. We followed him through his adventure documenting it along the way. Kimble is a former Warrior Dash Race Director who happens to also be an endurance junkie. Kimble's latest adventure is The Wheel - a documentary Discovery Channel series which places six people in six different survival locations in South America.
Adam Kimble joins a very small group of people who have run across the United States of America. Mud Run Guide had the pleasure of sharing his experience with the world. Follow the whole series. Kimble ran from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean in this sixty-day adventure covering almost 2,500 miles on foot.
It’s crazy that these friends all met racing in the Gobi Desert in China and so many have traveled far distances from across the US to take Adam’s side for long miles together. His Gobi buds have become official trail angels. Adam completed 43 miles today with Mark's support totaling 2,323.2 with only 144 to go! The Atlantic is within reach, but we are realizing it won’t be an easy-breezing ending.
Adam still progressed by getting in 29 miles from 5 am to 8:30 pm. He was experiencing a lot of pain in his right shin and right hip. He’s amazing to persevere through all of the pain. Progress is progress! One of the best parts of the day was having two puppies follow Adam for 3 miles and keep him company. The crew would have loved to keep the pups as our trans-con mascots, but we reunited the puppies with their family. Onto Day 44 in Louisiana!
There’s a new vision to this mission and you could tell today. Adam was in high spirits as a man with a new plan and new goals. Team morale is high, too. We continually try to be creative at pit stops. Today, we turned to the game two truths and a lie to stump each other. We’ve gotten to know each other pretty well being together 24/7. Adam dominated 50 miles for the third day in a row and has 1,212 to go! Starting to visualize the Atlantic Ocean from Texas! Onto Day 33!
Adam Kimble continues his march east in his run across America, nearly 800 miles in and 1/3 of his 2400-mile journey! Below are updates from the past 4 days since crossing the New Mexico border - CA and AZ are in the rear view mirror! Day 18, March 3 Miles Today: 43 Miles Run So [...]
