Five years ago Spartan Race became Reebok Spartan Race as the two companies entered into multi-year title sponsorship deal. At the time, the announcement was a major turning point for the entire obstacle racing industry, having a company rebrand with a major sponsor.

Yokohama Tires become the official tire of Spartan Race for the 2017 season. Yesterday, the company announced it would be sponsoring three athletes for the season, continuing the commitment that Yokohama has with the obstacle racing industry.

European Obstacle Sports Federation Elects Board and Committees

Recently, the European Obstacle Sports Federation was formed in Sardinia bringing together many of the National Governing Bodies in Europe to create a unified vision of OCR for Europe. The EOSF has taken it one step further with the election of their board of directors and committees within the organization. This continental Governing Body represents many factions within Europe.

American Ninja Warrior Official Promo Released

American Ninja Warrior returns to NBC on June 12. Recently both the show and network released a new promo for the season. From the looks of the quick promo, it looks to be another epic season of the show. Some of American Ninja Warrior favorite athletes are profiled. New obstacles, new challenges, and fan favorites make this a must see event on June 12 right before the premiere of season two of Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge.

OCRTUBE: USAOCR National Championships Miami

OCRTUBE headed to Miami over the weekend to witness the first USA OCR National Championship over the weekend held at the Spartan Race. Arnel Banawa provides a detailed 13-minute video recap of the event. This is the first event from the USA Obstacle Course Racing Federation linked with the Obstacle Sports Federation.

Warrior Dash Returns to Missouri on September 30

Warrior Dash announced today that the popular OCR series will return to Missouri. The return is set for September 30. Warrior Dash hinted to Mud Run Guide that they would be releasing additional venues for the season and this appears to be the first addition.

Which Tough Mudder are You?

Tough Mudder has continued to revamp their offering year after year to adjust to the changing landscape of the obstacle racing industry. Not only do the obstacles continue to improve and change but the company continues to adapt as their athletes demand various challenges. Tough Mudder began in 2010 with a single 10-12 mile event with the ethos "this is a challenge and not a race." Millions have recited the pledge throughout the years.
