De Sena hosted a pop up workout for Spartan enthusiasts and anyone else who wanted to break up their workday with a quick lunchtime workout.

Yesterday, Marriot Rewards announced as part of their global partnership with Spartan Race that the cast of the popular NBC show, Friday Night Lights will reunite on the course at the Spartan Race outside of Chicago in June. The cast will train for the next month for the race on June 11th. In addition to the announcement of the global sponsorship. Marriott has picked up athletes Rose Wetzel and Ryan Kent who will be sharing training trips through the Marriott twitter handle.

2017 OCR Orphan Adventure Mission Trip

More than a year ago, Steve McCollum of Back2Back Ministries observed what so many of us already know – that the OCR community is filled with outstanding individuals who not only excel on the course but in life. He immediately envisioned how a group of obstacle racers could provide a new and welcome contribution to some orphans in Mexico. In January 2016, he and six obstacle racers (including me) landed in Monterrey, Mexico for what turned out to be an unforgettable experience.

Tough Mudder changes the rules in their signature championship event, World’s Toughest Mudder (WTM), every year. With each change, there is great controversy and great potential. Sometimes the rule changes are in response to feedback or problems they encountered in previous years, or sometimes they just like to change it up. Before I describe the first announced rule changes, I’ll preface the controversy with this. In sports, and especially OCRs, we rely on the organizers to define the rules of engagement, and we challenge ourselves to do our best within those confines.
