Toughest Mudder South 2018 – Central Texas

By |May 24th, 2018|

I’ve done Tough Mudders, but this one takes the mud cake.  On a random whim thanks to a friend, I was convinced to do the Toughest Mudder rather than just the regular Tough Mudder.  Joking aside, I can say it was the absolute hardest race I’ve done to date.

Race Recap: Frontline OCR Wave 2

By |May 23rd, 2018|

Frontline OCR in its second year has once again orchestrated a symphonic ensemble of suffering, to occur by no coincidence on Armed Forces Day.  Not only does the roughly six-mile course offer to grind both the racers physical strength and cardiovascular system into a fine pâté of goo, but this race is most importantly created in homage of those that are currently and have previously spent time serving our country.

Race Recap: Virginia Rugged Maniac

By |May 21st, 2018|

The race day weather in Virginia for the Rugged Maniac on Saturday, May 5th, 2018, was perfect. On this scenic day, it literally felt like an obstacle course racing family reunion, full of games like Cornhole, giant outdoor Beer Pong, fitness competitions, and food options galore. Sure, providing a festival area, which includes a mixture of activities at obstacle course races is nothing new.

Race Recap: EPD Foundation SWAT Challenge

By |May 17th, 2018|

I returned to Evansville, Indiana for the 4th Annual EPD Foundation SWAT Challenge for my second consecutive run of this downtown urban course. This was one of my favorite events of 2017, and that’s saying something comparing this local OCR to the several national and international series I competed.
