Running an obstacle race or a mud run is a great chance to get out with a group of friends and go push yourselves outside of the daily norm. It's a chance to help others achieve goals while you also achieve your own goals. For these reasons, many decide to tackle an obstacle race as a team or with a group of others.

Race Recap: Brimacombe Spartan Sprint 2017

After each Spartan event, I vow to never do another. I cuss the entire up hill climb and curse as I descend carrying a bucket full of rocks or a sandbag draped across my shoulders. And yet, once again, I found myself lined up waiting for our release onto the mountain to begin the dreaded climb that at times felt relentless. Gear Review: Hylete’s 6 in 1 Backpack: 40L vs. 60L

Your Best Training Course May be a Playground

Back in the winter, Hubie Cushman messaged me with a huge opportunity. He wanted me to cover his Indian Mud Run event which occurred just two Saturdays ago. While fellow MRG blogger Keven Parrish got the scoop out in Conshocton, OH, I was wrapping up a family vacation scheduled nearly a year earlier. One of the highlights of the race, and the reason for my invite, was Larry Cooper and his Destroyer. It turns out, Indian Mud Run was a whole lot more than a playground race.
