Don’t pay upfront
Paid for Erie race for 8/11. They canceled and said I could transfer to this year. Then Erie race is free this year(probably because they angered everyone last year) they did charge all other fees again! I tried to use my registration from last year on another race but all they said was sorry it’s nonrefundable!! Rip off artists and this will be the last tome they get my money!!!
Worst Run Ever
This run isn't even worth 1 star. It is the absolute worst run I have ever experienced. My son and I did it last year and I figured it was the 1st one and they needed to work out the kinks. Nope it is a complete shit show! They send you an email last minute to pick up the race "packet" the Friday before the race...no packet just a bib so you won't pay $5 cash on race day day. Then they jack up parking to $15 which takes 30 mins to actually park due to their disorganization. The race itself should take 30-45 minutes but with the lines at every obstacle takes 2 hours (if you wait) The heats are spaced 15 mins apart and every obstacle is a mess! Don't waste your $ or your time! Makes sense they promoted 2019 with free entry fees, no one in their right mind would pay for it!
Unorganized and Not what described
Showing up an hour early to stand around and listen to music, while everyone looks around to see what they are supposed to be doing. I picked up "race packet" friday as instructed. The race was longer friday than the morning of. The race itself was ok. No instruction on where showers or changing areas were. We changed out of muddy clothes by our car. One vendor was there with a hand full of give aways. One food vendor. No reason to stick around and celebrate or fellowship. Wouldn't sign up for this run ever again.
Horrible
Unorganized shit show, plus they are full of hidden fees, after paying online I got to the registration booth only to find myself being charged additional fees which was horrible cause I left all my stuff in car and parked over a mile away. Good job ,never again.
Never received my prize money.
I am very disappointed in the Terrain Race organization. I placed third in their Vancouver race 2018 but never received the prize money. I have been trying for months! Never got a response and never received a penny!
never got prize money despite many attempts
I am not one to leave bad reviews but I won overall female at the richmond race in october and still have not received the $200. I filled out the paperwork and sent it in and have email confirmation that it was received on accountings end. I have since emailed them 6 times asking if it had gotten lost and I have never gotten a response. Sounds like I'm not the only one . Very disappointing. I even enjoyed the race but won't be back. integrity and trust need to be a part of their goals for 2019.
It's the worst run I've done
We walked up to the start and they just said go ahead...there was no group, they didnt check the time, they didnt pep us up, nothing. At the end they didnt even give a beer, a water, a banana, NOTHING! the obstacles weren't even that good, only 2 walls, no warp wall. I've done at least 20 runs, this one sucked.
Don’t do it!
Photos weren’t posted until a month after the race. I won for the overall women and still have not received my race money. I have sent them a message every week and just give me the run around d. If you are competitive at all this is not the event for you. They don’t track you, don’t give you your winning money they promise and photos are only posted if you ask them to do it about 10 times. Stay far away!! Go Spartan!
Did not like this run. Went to the start 7 minutes before my start time. A woman informed me and a group of 15 that were waiting that the guy who was sending off racers already sent the race wave early. So we just went. Failed to tell us that the race was actually two laps which I going out at the finish. Many of the obstacles needed team work to complete. However, no one wanted to join in to help me while I was racing. I did not want to do the same obstacles again so I stopped at the finish and subsequently the start of the second lap. I've done several races who all managed to create a course without having to do another lap of the same obstacles. Never again.
Worst Event Ever Attended!
This was the worst put together race I have ever attended!! There were no food or beer vendors, no where to hang out, nor anything to do after the race, like promised. There wasn't even a bottle of water or anything else available post race! Very unhappy with the results of this, especially after driving 5 1/2 hours & paying for lodging. Left right after completing the race.....there was absolutely nothing else to do there!!! No fun here & You could hear every person you neared, complaining! Many of them drove from afar as well to attend this race. Whoever was in charge of this event (pre-race and post-race) should she be kicked off the team!
