Tough Mudder made its annual return to the Kent family farm in Andover, New York. This year surely did not disappoint as the weather was perfect and all of the new obstacles for 2016 were on display. The weather for the weekend was mostly sunny with temperatures in the upper 80’s. The Army Golden Knights put on a parachuting display several times throughout the weekend. The Mudder Village was a celebratory scene with Shock Top beer all around.
Arnel Banawa of OCRTUBE.com was back at it again this past weekend capturing all the action at Mud Titan 6 in Tampa, Florida. The 5K obstacle course featured 30 obstacles making for an obstacle packed day for anyone in the family. BattleFrog kicked off their season also in SoCal a week before Spartan at an unknown venue off the beaten path, straddling the Mexican border in a relatively sketchy-looking neighborhood. As a racer on the grounds, the estimate of 350 participants seemed a little generous. Those who made the trip enjoyed a well-designed, fun, & challenging course.

Udder Mud Run is a fund raiser by the FFA-FHA of Georgia at their camp in Covington. While that might make it seem like a quick, low cost throw together event, Udder Mud Run is anything but that. They have some of the most fun obstacles around. This is a family friendly event with both a 7K and a 1 mile event.
MuckFest MS mud run headed to Detroit over the weekend. MuckFest MS has been around for years not only offering a family friendly mud run experience but also at the same time raising money for the National MS Society. Millions of dollars have been raised over the years and awareness of both the event and cause continues to grow. MuckFest MS recently hit a milestone in for the National MS Society.
The Reebok All Terrain Super OR's are extremely light and flexible with great traction, and just the right combo of heel-toe drop and cushioning along with a midfoot rock plate to make them great trail racing shoes on non-technical terrain. The upper is surprisingly breathable for a high-tech "durable" material, and they are extremely comfortable if you have a pretty normal foot width; though they may prove to be a little too narrow for some athletes.
This is a great course in a remote setting ly miles from one of the largest cities in the world. Tough Mudder would be foolish to not continue its relationship with the Long Island community as the sold out event seemed to be a hit with everyone I encountered. The course challenged me and I left only failing on the King of Swingers.
