Warrior Dash to Celebrate First Ever ‘National Obstacle Course Racing Day’

Warrior Dash, the 5K obstacle course race that more than 3 million people have completed since 2009, is commemorating the anniversary of its inception with the inaugural National Obstacle Course Racing Day on July 18. The annual holiday will serve as a day to celebrate the obstacle course racing industry and its continuing growth in popularity.

We were intrigued by the KOA ST as it says "MUD" on the side of the shoe. Any shoe that has the word MUD on it intrigues both Brett and Margaret. How could it not?!?

The obstacle racing world has been greatly anticipating the arrival of the first United States Obstacle Course Racing Championships (USOCRC) since the announcement of the event on January 17, 2017. Hosted by Adventurey LLC, organizers of the independent Obstacle Course Racing World Championships, the event is scheduled to be held on Labor Day weekend, September 2 & 3, at Y.O. Ranch Headquarters, in Mountain Home, Texas.

Bonefrog Challenge, Austin TX – Race Review

I can’t applaud Bonefrog enough for really exploring and utilizing all the best areas for this race. Bonefrog runs three simultaneous distances Sprint (3-miles), Challenge (8 miles) and Tier 1 (11-ish miles). Since I’m a glutton for punishment, I signed up for Tier 1.

BONEFROG: Endurance – New 8 Hour Race Format Announced

BONEFROG is extending their SEAL-designed, developed, & operated challenges with their new 8-hour BONEFROG: Endurance option. Competitors will begin by completing TIER-1, an 11+ mile circuit of the 8+ CHALLENGE course and the 3+ mile SPRINT course. From there, BONEFROG: Endurance athletes will complete as many SPRINT laps until the 8 hour time limit runs out - or their bodies do!

24 Hours of Ow & Wow – Terrain Racing Relay

Each lap of approximately 5 miles featured three different loops; Technical, Strength, and Speed. Each of those loops needed to be completed in order, and only the final number of loops completed by the time cut-off at 2pm on Sunday, there were no partial miles awarded for any unfinished laps. Each obstacle must be completed within 3 tries or penalty lap/exercise was incurred.
