Mud Run Guide partners with For Those Who Would and OCR World Championships to award the first For Those Who Would OCR Humanitarian Award. For Those Who Would, a Richmond, Kentucky based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity rooted in the obstacle racing community launched this week as an organization supporting individuals unable to participate in athletic and physical recreational activities due to debilitating injuries or chronic diseases.

Civilian Military Combine Cancels all 2015 Events

Many in the OCR community received the same email this afternoon. The highly praised Civilian Military Combine (CMC) has cancelled their events for the rest of the 2015 season and is seeking new venues for 2016. CMC is a hybrid event which integrates a functional fitness workout and an obstacle race, creating a truly unique racing experience. Our contributors have often given the series high marks since it's inception in 2011.

Warrior Dash Parent Company Red Frog Events Restructures Chicago Office

Red Frog Events the parent company of Warrior Dash recently laid off one third of their Chicago office according to an article by Chicago Business. On July 21, the company laid off 29 of the 105 current employees in the company. According to the article the company has made recent moves to expand beyond obstacle racing into the world of food and music festivals.
