The United Ninja Athletic Association (UNAA) is one of the two ninja series that has picked up on the American Ninja Warrior craze of the last few years. Throughout the year ninja style gyms have hosted UNAA competitions and qualifiers all leading up to the championship event being held at the Santa Ana Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico on August 5th and 6th.
Until Like Makes Sense the Austin-based apparel company has teamed up with the charity For Those Who Would for the month of July. A portion of all t-shirt sales from Until Life Makes Sense will be donated to For Those Who Would. The recently launched apparel company has already garnered the attention from top OCR trainer Yancy Culp of Yancy Camp as a brand ambassador and is taking a social message to the streets through its apparel.
This morning many woke up in the obstacle racing community to news of a cancellation of an upcoming Conquer the Gauntlet event in Lubbock, Texas. The typically highly regarded obstacle race shocked the OCR world with the cancellation and news that no refunds would be issued. The local news station KCBD picked up the story after participants received an email from race organizers.

On NBC the Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge airs at 9:00pm and on ESPN at 9:30pm the BattleFrog College Championships Season 2 debuts on ESPN. College teams from around the United States will try once again to take home the championship title. Tonight kicks off the three night event on ESPN.

The new team obstacle racing series premiered last week as the second highest rated "alternative television" launch in the last nine months. Last night the show captured the number position at the 10pm slot beating out Mistresses on ABC and BrainDead on CBS.
Today, Tough Mudder announced a multi-year partnership with Team Rubicon, the only nonprofit disaster response organization that mobilizes military veterans to support communities devastated by natural disasters. The comprehensive charity partnership aims to raise $1.5 million by year-end 2017 – one of the largest monetary donations in Team Rubicon's six-year history – and to drive volunteer participation across the nation by activating Tough Mudder's passionate community of 2.5 million veterans and civilians.
For years, the obstacle racing industry has talked about the short course time and time again. The most famous and vocal proponent of the concept has been OCR racer Hobie Call. His vision of the sport in the future is a short course laid out in a stadium where people can watch all the action. Over the weekend, at the Spartan Race Dallas Stadium Race after the main heats were complete a version of that vision was realized. The IORF revealed a standard stadium format course, in conjunction with USA Pentathlon and delivered by Spartan Race.
