Why I Saw a Running Coach

By |September 25th, 2018|

In the past year, or so, I've been upping my OCR game: more events, longer events, and more miles. For the most part, things have gone smoothly. I like to think that I'm pretty in tune with my body and that I'm a good listener when it comes to hearing what my body needs. Like most of us, I have a full-time job, kids, and other responsibilities that limit my training opportunities, but I do the best I can with what I have.

If you are not highly proficient at obstacles or have never had to do a MOC course, you may have found yourself stuck at an obstacle. Add in some bad weather like rain and the exhaustion of climbing a mountain and your race may not have gone according to plan. So what now?

Preparing for 48 Hours of OCR: Mental Strength

By |August 20th, 2018|

Last week I covered what I am physically doing to prepare for Endure The Gauntlet, but that is only half the equation or less as you. Why I Will Finally Focus on Recovery – Stretch Base/Restore Cryotherapy

By |August 1st, 2018|

Then my friend Spencer texts me and asks if I want to check out this new recovery clinic he recently started working for in Austin. I figure, why the hell not. Cut to: Stretch Base / Restore Cryotherapy
