Gear Review: DgearOG Gloves

I have been running OCR for five years now so I pretty much have my gear list set for my races but these were going to be unchartered waters. The weather itself was going to be an obstacle. I decided on my clothes but wasn’t sure what to do to protect my hands and still be able to use them properly. Regular winter gloves would have kept them warm but would have provided no grip. I did some research and decided on DGearOG Obstacle Course Racing Full Fingered Gloves.

Race Recap: Tougher Mudder Arizona

European Obstacle Sports Federation Created

Over the weekend, several Obstacle Course Racing Associations from around Europe came together to meet in Sardinia to form the European Obstacle Sports Federation. This is the beginning of establishing a European sports governing body for OCR and related sports. During the meeting, a constitution was drafted and signed by eight associations.

Gear Review: EXO-L

Ankles, a lot of people know the problem or have met/seen someone during a race. Sprained ankles are one of the most common injuries in our sport. At the 2014 OCRWC, I snapped my ankle, and my OCR “career” was over. After two surgeries I started running again, but I was too afraid to go all the way like I did before.

Spartan Ultimate Team Challenge Returning to NBC with New Hosts

Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge is back for a second season with some new hosts. Currently, NBC is testing out the course at an undisclosed location outside of Atlanta and filming of the popular competition reality show will begin soon.

All Out Adventure Series Checkpoint Challenge – A Dip into Adventure Racing

All Out Adventure Series recently put on their annual Checkpoint Challenge. Checkpoint Challenge offers participants a chance to take a dip into Adventure Racing with a short 2-4 hour and 6-hour race. Both events offer participants an opportunity to try out the world of Adventure Racing and still make it home in time for lunch or dinner.

24 Hours of Testing – TomTom, Tailwind, Icebug, Drywear, & More!

I've rarely ever had a big issue with jumping into the fire with new gear, if it works as anticipated and I don't have to think about it at all it's a win.
