Bermuda Triple Challenge 2017: The Ultimate Racecation

Bermuda has been known for decades as a destination vacation spot for people around the world. The small island nation is a simple flight from eastern United States cities and because of trade winds offers a warm and inviting climate. For decades the island was known to be a playground for only the wealthy over the past decade the country has tried to reshape the vision of who they are to the world. Today Bermuda wants to be one of the top sporting destinations in the world and the Bermuda Triple Challenge is helping to change the island's image.

Goliathon Launches New Fundraising Efforts for #WorldWaterDay

Goliathon a charity based obstacle race in the United States announced today the launch of a new fundraising campaign. Since the beginning, race organizers - consisting of a group of volunteers - created Goliathon as an event to give back. Over the years they have focused on bringing clean drinking water to people all over the world. Today they launched a new campaign in advance of their next event on June 3, 2017.

Badass Women of OCR: Amy Pacjic

As you all can tell, I am trying to interview women for this article series from all types of backgrounds and with stories to tell. When I first learned about Amy Pacjic, it was humbling. Not only was she an American Ninja Warrior competitor, but she is the only women to stand on both the overall podium of both Obstacle Course Racing World Championship and World’s Toughest Mudder.

2017 Icebug Acceleritas5 First Test

The upper materials have been updated to a super soft and airy textile, so light and smooth it feels like being barefoot. The water pickup is minimal, the drainage is excellent and hence the wet weight is almost as low as when it’s dry. The midsole is very flexible and keeps the weight down. The height of the heel cup is slightly reduced in order to reduce pressure at the Achilles tendon. Terrain feel is remarkable thanks to the low profile of the sole.

MuckFest® MS Ready to Muddy Up 12 Cities in 2017

MuckFest MS is ready to kick off another season of racing in 2017 making stops in 12 cities in the United States. MuckFest MS is a friendly mud run for participants of all levels to enjoy a day in the mud and raise money for a great charity. Since it's inception MuckFest MS has raised over $25 million dollars for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Spotlight on Mike Vaules: Co-Founder of the Memorial Beach Challenge

About five years ago Mike Vaules and two of his colleagues attended a benefit gala for the Navy SEAL Foundation. There they met the 31 Heroes Project leaders who wanted another highly visible and fun event to raise funds. The three men, all residents of Ocean City, New Jersey, provided the obvious choice. Conduct a family-friendly obstacle course race challenge on the beach.

Race Review: Ragnarok Race 2017

Even though the temperature dipped to a frosty -23 degrees, it did not cool the excitement that was building at the Eagle’s Nest racing event -Ragnarok. This prime location is situated in the heart of Smiths Falls, Ontario and the race offered three separate events; a family heat starting at 4 PM where groups could work their way through the 5-6KM course under sunny skies and receive a beautiful carved stone medal.

IORCU Issues Emergency Grant to OCRAUK to Pay Athletes’ 2016 Prizes

The International Obstacle Course Racing Union (IORCU) announced this morning that it has issued an emergency financial grant to Obstacle Course Racing Association United Kingdom with the express purpose that it be used to pay the athletes who are due cash prizes from the 2016 UK Obstacle Course Racing Championships. The grant is being funded by the Adventurey, LLC (organizers of the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships & US OCR Championships) and the OCRWC's production partners, 365 Sports, Inc.
