Every now and again we have to participate in the ‘fun’ events to find our inner child. We decided to head to the south shore a few hours from our home to 5K Foam Fest Canada to bring in the fun for the holiday weekend. While the US version of the event has come and gone the Canada series continues to hold strong. 5K Foam Fest was held at the St. Bruno Ski Resort in St. Bruno de Montarville, Quebec. Faces at the Races — Amanda Lopez

My favorite way to train is going on trail runs while I push the baby in the stroller. I take yoga, strength train, and take jiu jitsu classes. I believe that trying new things pushes your training to the next level. I also host free hikes and workouts a couple times a month. Everyone’s favorite event is my moonlight hike that I host every full moon.

Inside Bonefrog Challenge

Hesco Bonefrog Challenge is currently having its moment in obstacle course racing. With the closure of another frog the profile of Hesco Bonefrog Challenge continues to rise. However, like many small independent race series Bonefrog has mostly been putting on quality events under the radar. The company was founded in 2012 by former Navy SEAL, Brian Carney, after spending thirteen years in the SEALS. Carney knew he wanted to be part of the OCR community even before leaving the SEALS. When he got out he went to work.

Amy Pajcic – Obstacle Ninja

Amy Pajcic at first glance is an unassuming athlete, she quietly has been a dominant female in the sport of OCR and American Ninja Warrior for years. Her first foray into OCR was jumping straight into World's Toughest Mudder after a friend convinced her it would be fun. Pajcic quickly asserted herself in the sport finishing 3rd in that event.

On the Inside Looking Out: Accidentally Qualifying for OCRWC

I should probably start by saying I didn’t “accidentally” qualify for OCR World Championships (OCRWC), it was a goal of mine to reach by the end of the season. However, with this being only my 3rd year in OCR and my first race of the season being only my 4th ever, I felt as if worlds was this lofty goal I had set just to look good on paper. This past season, I became a member of Team Strength & Speed (S&S), within our small Facebook group I could quickly tell I was behind the group on speed and obstacle skills.
