Breaking News: Robert Killian Jr. Now Offering Coaching Through LeaderBoard

Spartan Race World Champion Robert Killian Jr joined Mud Run Guide in an exclusive video to break news about a new partnership with LeaderBoard. Starting on September 5th, Killian will be offering his own world class coaching through the LeaderBoard program. He will be joining his Spartan Pro-Team athlete Brakken Kraker who already coaches a group of athletes on the platform.

Jessie Graff Makes History on American Ninja Warrior

American audiences were glued to the television last night as Jessie Graff became the first women to ever hit the buzzer at the end of Stage 1 of the National Finals in Las Vegas. With friends, family, and the rest of the women of American Ninja Warrior cheering Graff made history. As Graff hit that buzzer she not only moved onto the next stage of the competition but also inspired a whole new generation of women and girls in the process.

The Unstoppable Couple: Lindsay Webster and Ryan Atkins Win the 2016 Spartan U.S. Championship Series

It is no secret that the Canadian couple Lindsay Webster and Ryan Atkins have been a dominate force on the North American OCR scene this year. The couple was recently married this summer but marriage hasn't slowed down the two. Over the weekend, both individually added another notch to their belts as they individually clinched the 2016 Spartan Race U.S. Championship Series besting many of the top obstacle racers in the world.

OCRTUBE: Mud Titan 6

Arnel Banawa of OCRTUBE.com was back at it again this past weekend capturing all the action at Mud Titan 6 in Tampa, Florida. The 5K obstacle course featured 30 obstacles making for an obstacle packed day for anyone in the family. Mud Titan also featured an 8K Course with 40+ obstacles letting participants choose their race and their distance for the day. Check out the latest video from OCRTUBE.com and see all the action.

Amelia Boone and Coach Pain to Appear at Civilian Military Combine in Fort Hamilton

The relaunch of Civilian Military Combine is quickly approaching. Today, Civilian Military Combine announces two powerhouse names in the obstacle racing world will be appearing at the CMC relaunch on September 10 at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, New York. "Coach Pain" Dewayne, the beloved OCR emcee has joined the team to provide his own unique and inspiring messages for participants on race day. Also joining the team on race day is OCR legend, Amelia Boone. Boone will serve as co-host for the CMC Fort Hamilton show which will air on SNY network on Sunday, September 25, 2016.

Opinion: 4 Rules to Live By Racing with a First-Timer

Getting a significant other or friend who’s new the Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) excited about a run is sometimes a hard process. Before you’ve done it, understanding just why you would pay someone to be subjected to the elements, mud, pain, bruises, cuts, exhaustion, and possible serious injury can be challenging, to say the least - as I am sure someone must have said, “You can lead a person to mud, but you can’t make ‘em race”.

BattleFrog’s Legacy: What Did We Learn?

BattleFrog kicked off their season also in SoCal a week before Spartan at an unknown venue off the beaten path, straddling the Mexican border in a relatively sketchy-looking neighborhood. As a racer on the grounds, the estimate of 350 participants seemed a little generous. Those who made the trip enjoyed a well-designed, fun, & challenging course.

BattleFrog Cincinnati: The Finale

I believe that any OCR held at the King’s Domain site just north of Cincinnati has the potential to be an epic event. It has everything an obstacle race should include; lots of woods, a mix of dirt and rocky trails, crazy steep inclines, and obstacles, oh so many awesome obstacles. BattleFrog utilized this course to put on what many believe, myself included, the toughest regular OCR ever put on in August of 2015.
