Competitors are anxiously waiting to see who will be returning from the double elimination. Richard is pacing the dock. Carla makes her way across the bridge to reveal herself as the loan competitor returning from elimination. Team Riki is ecstatic! The rest of the teams realize the loss of Shermon and Will. Janessa and Alison begin to strategize how they will up their game now that they are the only team of two.
At Camp Grit, the competitors are waiting to find out who has rung out and who is retuning. Herman attempts to impress Melanie with his cooking abilities. Unfortunately, he is better at making fire, as he pulls from the oven a flaming pan of sweet potatoes. He returns to her good graces by offering her a chard piece of sweet potato that she applies as war paint.
Haze here, your favorite competitor from Season 1 of American Grit. I have the distinct honor of taking over for Bonnie to bring you weekly reviews of our favorite show, American Grit. I will keep the reviews as unbiased as possible and try to throw in some behind the scene comparisons from my experience in Season 1. This Sunday, June 11th, kicks off the long-awaited return of American Grit!
The season finale of American Grit is here. The Fox series reaches its end today after a hard-fought battle among competitors. In the American Grit Finale, participants are pushed to their limits physically and mentally. The episode starts at camp, and Tony finds out that Jim joins him as the sole member of his own team. Everyone reflects on the fact that they are on their way into their last evolutions.
American Grit Episode 7 starts off at the compound. Tony reflects on being the only one left on Team Tee. Cam and Haze talk about Cam's professional wrestling. There is a delivery at the door. Four compasses. The competitors realize that the need to learn how to use them quickly some have the experience, some don't. Teams have a feeling they are in for a surprise, and they are when Cena comes storms in at 3:30 AM.
Last night the fifth episode of American Grit aired on Fox. The show took no time in getting to the Evolution. In this Evolution, the teams were tested on their survival skills. Teams had to build shelter, make fire, and purify water. The teams had an additional choice in this evolution a short or long route. The short route made the tasks harder and the longer route made the tasks easier. Also, each person will only be allowed to do a certain task.
Going right out of the gate, the teams make a pact to not tell Team Noah (who has not had to do a circus yet) what had happened in the circus. We go right into the Evolution. Cena calls Team Noah the powerhouses of the Evolution. (So far they are undefeated.) Cena explains that this will be a test of observation and communication. The evolution is called Charlie Foxtrot.
We start with teams coming back to the compound and Team Noah learning about Brooke's departure. Noah's team is in shock that Brooke is gone. Ivette and Tony realize that they have to come together as they are now down two team members, and want to keep Team Tee's chances alive.
On the second episode of American Grit we find out that Kjoy ended the first evolution with frostbite on her foot . She discusses how her Yogi mentality will help her push through. The Evolution We start off with The Evolution. Cadre Tee reminds her team that they will be stronger without Chris who rang out [...]
