Course Description:
The 8K course runs along the Brisbane River and includes 12 cheesy obstacles!
YMCA Rat Race is a new, annual obstacle event featuring maximum fun and RATtical behaviour. The 8km course is based around the Brisbane River and the Kangaroo Point cliffs. Teams of 4 “Rat-sters” must protect their inflatable “cheese” and carry it across the finish line - after conquering 12 challenging obstacles.
Aid Stations:
There will be an aid station at the event start/ finish area in addition to 1x first aid officer every second obstacle.
Prizes:
Yes - there will be a prize for the best costume!

Parking:
We recommend using public transport.
Post Party:
There will be a huge festival like after party in the park where the race finish. Food, drinks, LIVE music and entertainment will be available until 7pm.
Other:
The YMCA Rat Race has been established to support the YMCA School’s Breakfast Program. More than 25% of Australian children go to school hungry every day. The YMCA currently provides more than 500,000 breakfasts a year across 85 schools in South-East Qld. Our aim is to extend our reach to 200 schools within the next two years.
Team:
YMCA Rat Race is a team event - teams of 2,3 or 4 can race together :)
