This event has rebranded and is now known as Eat Dirt Mud Run.
The Grand Rapids Mud Run is the toughest and funnest run in West Michigan. (at least the Grand Rapids Press and other runners think so)
We aim to get you muddy and to help you have the time of your life at the Grand Rapids Mud Run.
We're also trying to get a job for Coach Pitts, you may have met him last year. Coach came by last year to show us some pointers on running a mud run. He was formerly the US walking coach for the '72 Olympic team.

The course is packed with over 10 obstacles plus our mud pit section with over 10 mud pits and hills! There are a few different mud pits, one you have to crawl through under cargo nets, tunnels to crawl through, a couple of walls, hills to go over, tires to step through, a mudslide. Grand Rapids Mud Run does reserve the right to make course changes up to day of run.
The Kids Mini Mud is about 1.5 miles and includes the muddiest obstacles and most exciting parts of the course that will accommodate our Mini Mudders, including our mud pit section!
Mini-Mud: Ages 6 to 12. Kids under 6 should not do the run.
5K run: Ages 12 and up. Kids under 12 are discouraged from doing the 5K, but it is at their parent’s discretion and must have an adult run with them.
There will be a secure check-in available to all participants of the GRMR.
There will be an area to go around all of the obstacles if you are unable to complete them.
You will have the opportunity to add additional group members later in the registration process. If there are fees associated with this event, the total fees for all registrants in the group will be charged to the first person in the group. If members of the group are paying individually (for example, with different credit cards), you must create separate registrations for each. If 5 or more people register together, then you will receive a discount of 15% off for all people in the group on registration fee.
