Other:

14 years old is our minimum. If you are under 18 your parent or guardian must sign the waiver for you and the waiver must be brought to the event.
Obviously, clothes to get dirty. Costumes are also encouraged as long as they don’t inhibit your ability to maneuver obstacles. Please wear shoes, this terrain is not meant for bare feet.
We encourage arriving one hour before your start time. You choose your start time when you register for the Mudathlon. In addition to picking up you bib, timing chip, and t-shirt. You also have to watch some other Mudathlete's get mucky to prepare for your own adventure.
Absolutely, there are definitely challenging aspects to the course and some challenging obstacles. However, if you can't complete an obstacle, you can pass it by. Even though that will disqualify you from award eligibility, it won't disqualify you from having a Mucking Good Time.
The Mudathlon uses chip timing that is activated when you cross the start and finish lines. The Mudathlon will remove the chips post-event for you.
Gear check will be available for Mudathlon-Northwest Indiana and Cincinnati. Mudathlon-Northern Kentucky and Indianapolis will only have key check available.
The Mudathlon will have showers or a rinse area available in the post-race area.

Team:

A team is the best way to experience Mudathlon! Our program is full of flexibility to make your team whatever you want it to be. Teams can be any size, the only exception to this is if your team wants to compete against other teams for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. In this case you must have at least 5 people on your team. The top five times from each team are averaged together and the top three averaged times determine the winners. Regardless of team size, every person on the team completes the entire course. Teams can be all male, all female or coed. Teams can take two forms: a Mudathlon Team or our Mudathlon Charity Team.
