5K Race - Racers will start in multiple waves of 80 participants every 1/2 hour throughout the day beginning at 8:00 am
2.5K Race - Racers will start in multiple waves of 50 participants starting at 12:20 pm

Course Description:
This is a great course for the first time or experienced racer. Steep hilly terrain to rolling hills and ravines. A great venue for racing and for spectators. A total of 20 obstacles both natural and man-made are part of the course.
Participants, ages 12 and up, will be challenged on this off road 5K race featuring aggressive terrain and “Goliath Sized” obstacles.
Kids, ages 8-13, take on a shorter version of the Goliath Challenge. The race is 2.5K in length including “Goliath Size” obstacles throughout the course.
Preliminary list of 20 + obstacles (subject to change):
Goliath Ascent - Steep hill ascent through wooded forest. Guaranteed to increase your heart rate!
Philistine Pursuit - Traverse through a maze of logs and poles as you climb out of a steep ravine.
Fishers of Men - Ten foot cargo net climb.
Dodging Javelins - Goliath is mad! Dodge through a maze of vertical log javelins confined by a wooded ravine.
Walls of Jericho - Vertical wall climb using ropes and climbing pegs.
Gulch to Gath - Chase down your team mates as you cross this ravine
Test of Faith - Army crawl under a wooden structure
David’s Domination - You have Goliath’s Sword…now run with it!
Goliath’s Grave - Cross a grave of old cars and farm machinery
Fallen Combatant - A surprise from Goliath!
Gate of Ekron - Another surprise from Goliath!
Snare of Temptation - Monster truck tire crossing.
Valley of Elah - A narrow ravine through dense woods with ropes, logs, tires….who knows what!
Goliath’s Forehead - Rope swing over a mud pit
Coat of Armor - Go underground and hide from Goliath as you crawl through trenches of mud.
Storms of Life - Slanted rope wall climb with giant water blaster
Road to Sharraim - Cross an existing pond and test your balance as you walk on water.
Battle Cry - Repel down a steep sand slope with ropes.
Giant Slayer - Take to the monkey bars and cross over this pit full of a Goliath goo surprise!
Sling Shot - Ride down a steep hill on Badlands Sno-Park snow tubes and get wet from a Goliath sized water blaster!
Aid Stations:
Aid and water stations are located in 2 locations throughout the race course.
The Goliath Challenge has a professional medical team on course at all times with a medical building located at the Start/Finish line area.
Awards:
Goliath Challenge has an award ceremony with 5K racer divisions for men and women of: 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
2.5K has winners per race wave with one division ages 8 – 13.
Prizes:
Awesome prize for the LARGEST race team.
Spectators:
Spectators are FREE. Spectators are allowed to view much of the race! FREE hay rides throughout the race course. The Goliath Challenge is more than just a Race…it’s an AWESOME family friendly event.
Parking:
Free! Parking is located right next to the registration area. Carpooling is recommended.
Post Party:
Plenty of Food, LIVE Music and activities during and after the race!
Other:
The Goliath Challenge …a RACE for a Global and Local cause….fighting world hunger. To date with your help, we have donated $41,000 to Feed My Starving Children. That’s 186,363 meals. The same as feeding 510 children a meal everyday for an entire year! 85 cents of every $1 in race registration fees for the Goliath Challenge goes to FMSC!
