MudMan Remember when you were a kid and running was all about having fun? Think back to before running became about intervals, split times, and PR’s. Back then you ran to increase your fun, rather than your vo2 max. It’s interesting how, as kids, we ran for the sheer joy of it – not fitness—but we were probably in the best shape of our lives. A mud puddle was something we ran through, not around. The amount of mud on your shoes when you hit the sack that night reflected how much fun you’d had that day.

It’s time to put the FUN back in your run! We’d like to invite you to join us for the MudMan, Vineman’s first ever obstacle course & mud run. Our 3.5 mile course and one mile kid’s run on the United States Coast Guard Training Center-Petaluma’s expansive eight hundred acre base will challenge you with obstacles, natural terrain, and three glorious mud pits. You’ll run, climb, crawl, and slosh. You will get filthy. But most of all, you’ll have fun! When you are finished, head over to the Shikai Shower Station and rinse off all that muddy goodness! Even if you competed last year in our innaugural event we promise to have new obstacles mixed in with some of the old (and popular) obstacles. For sure, we’ll send you into Salamander Canyon with some awesome single track trails, then up Texas hill to the heights of the property and of course, our giant slip-n-slide. We promise that the final course will be fun, challenging, and muddy.

The short course will also feature a team category. You simply register under the short course team option and at the prompts enter your team category(men, women or mixed) and your team name. Teams are not limited to a certain number but should have a minimum of three people.

Course Description:

The MudMan Full is a three and a half mile obstacle course and mud run which will feature five mud pits plus a variety of man-made and existing obstacles. You can expect 15-20 challenges over the course of the event. There will be things to climb over, slither through, crawl under, slosh through, pull yourself up and over, carry, etc. The obstacles will be designed to be challenging and fun; there will be no fire, barbed wire, or electric shock obstacles.

Aid Stations:

We will have Camelbak supplied water stations at the start/finish area and at the mid-point of the full course.

Our festival area surrounding the start and finish line will include: food vendors, retail vendors, athlete food tent & beer garden, showers, changing tent, full course emergency medical response, and spectator area.

Awards:

Full awards ceremony will be held at the finish line at the completion of all competitive waves. Prizes and distribution to be determined by field as we approach event da

Spectators:

Spectating is free and will have walk in access to various points of the course as well as the entire festival area.

Parking:

All cars will park at the Coast Guard Base but need to enter through the back gate located on Spring Hill Road. Drive past the elementary school and the gate will be one half mile down on the right. To make things easier on race day, this year we are including a $5 parking fee in your entry cost but once again the proceeds will go to Two Rock Elementary School!

The 3.5 mile course will also feature a Team category. You simply select the ”team” option at the beginning of the registration process. Once on the registration form you will select your team category (men, women or mixed) and include your team name. Teams are not limited to a certain number but they need to have a minimum of three people.
