Let’s play in the MUD together! Remember life on the playground as a kid…no worries, having fun, laughing a lot! Pushing a friend on a swing or chasing each other around the park. Playing till dark not wanting to go home!
We say take a break from the craziness of life; enjoy the life God has blessed you with; laugh a lot, have fun, get muddy, move your body, spread the love around, and do yourself and others some good!
Don’t get us wrong the BIGDOGBRAG will be a challenge! You’ll encounter an uphill run, mud pits, tarzan swings, zip lines, mud bogs, walls to scale, cargo net climbs, boulders to get over and so much more! Your body and mind will scream just quit. So, if your up for a good challenge but you want to have fun, laugh, hang out with family and friends and do something a little different but not put your life on the line…then the BIGDOGBRAG Playground is where you need to be on June 1 and August 3.
A community wide family-friendly 5k Big DOG Fun Mud obstacle course designed for thrill seekers and mudslingers 13 and up! We also have a 2k Little DOG Fun Run perfect for families with kids 5 and up who want to run and play in the mud…or for bigger kids who just aren’t ready for the BIG DOG. This race was great. They mixed a good terrain with obstacles and it was an awesome local OCR. No emphasis on competition and the organizers were very friendly and motivating. Obstacles aren't the toughest out there, but the mix of obstacles and running was perfect. This is an OCR all about fun and the organizers and volunteers do an awesome job conveying that message.
A friend of mine, my daughter, and I, have done the Big Dog Brag every year since it first started in Colorado Springs. That should speak for itself as a review, we wouldn't do it, if it wasn't so awesome! There is lots of mud, lots of smiling, and lots of fun obstacles. We will definitely do it again in Colorado Springs next year! :)
Just did the BDB CS today and I must say I was really impressed. While, the obstacles aren't as challenging as other OCRs, it was still very enjoyable. The volunteers/staff were awesome. They helped to facilitate a very friendly and fun atmosphere that resonated throughout the waves of runners on and off the course. I especially loved how they utilized the venue and built many obstacles into the hill sides. I also really like the fact that this is a locally run race that directly benefits the community by promoting their many local sponsors.
I will definitely be back next year and I would recommend this to beginning and experienced OCR runners alike.
we did the big dog brag last year and are signed up for tomorrow, we love it! its great for the whole family! and still a challenge!
