This race is so fun. I have done it with a group of other volunteers from my fire department for a few years. It is great for team building and a chance for all of us to really laugh. No pressure to run fast-it is just a really good time. Well organized, nice people, easy to make your way through the course--just fantastic.

Awesome event for all levels!

As a frequent marathoner, mud obstacle races are typicaly not on my radar when searching for races. After a friend invited me to join him at the Big Dog Brag I thought it would be a fun break from the monotony of training on the roads for marathons. The event was well organized and the energy was electric in the start/finish area. The obstacles were well thought out and challenging. Everybody, including myself had a blast at the race and I would highly recomend this event to anybody looking for something different or a fun way to spend your saturday with friends and family. Be sure to bring a change of shoes because you are going to get DIRTY!

Best Mud Run in Colorado

Apr 06, 2018 by Lady Di

This is by far the best mud run and obstacle course in Colorado and in fact is up there with the World Famous Marine Corps mud run at Camp Pendleton in California. What I love about Big Dog Brag is they don't have all the hidden fees that other races have (read the fine print and compare what you get BEFORE you sign up) and really does have a family friendly vibe.

Play with the MUD DOGz

The Big Dog Brag Mud Rud is incredibly FUN, I've been there 3 years in a row. They're locally owned and operated so they work extensively to involve the community and the obstacles are integrated into the rugged Colorado landscape; they're not just a bunch of inflatables slides but real hills, real pits and real mud. The staff are pleasant, the vendors are high quality and plentiful and you couldn't ask for better weather every year. Head to BIGDOGBRAG in 2018!

This race was so much fun! I had a great time interacting with the community, and meeting the different vendors. Getting muddy, and making some good memories might have been my favorite part. These guys do a fun setup that's different from other races I've been to, and I'll definitely be back this year.

If you're only going to do one...BIGDOGBRAG is the one to do!

Big Dog Brag was the first ever mud run I attended. I had signed up as a group but everyone bailed on me at the last minute so I had to run alone. I was sleep deprived and stressed out and a little scared! When I got there all of the staff/volunteers were very helpful directing me to where I needed to pick up my packet and what to expect. Every staff member or volunteer at each obstacle were extremely helpful and nice and cheered me on, making me feel more confident. At the end of the race, I felt great, like I really accomplished something! The after party was a lot of fun as well. It was really the best combination of mud and obstacles compared to the other races I've been to and everyone involved was so extremely nice. Best customer service and response time out of ANY race I did last year by far (out of 20 total). I had so much fun at BDB that it inspired me to sign up for those other races. But if you're going to do only one, BIGDOGBRAG is the one to do!

I have done this run the past three years and it is always fun, well attended, and challenging in the best ways! The event is well organized and friendly and each year we bring more and more people to join us in the mud fun!
The organizers of the run are always present and some of the best folks you'll ever meet!

Best mud run in the state. The course is way more fun then the other ones and a lot more obstacles. I love that it is a "local" run and the people who put it on actually live here!

The BIGDOGBRAG is a great, interesting obstacle course with really unusual obstacles that I haven't seen in other obstacle races. The setting is really nice with a view of Pikes Peak in the background and there are climbs out of canyons on ropes and cargo nets! After you run the 5k, they let you run the 2k with your younger kids who are registered for free....it's plenty challenging but an awesome experience to do with the whole family too!

Great Race!

This race was great. They mixed a good terrain with obstacles and it was an awesome local OCR. No emphasis on competition and the organizers were very friendly and motivating. Obstacles aren't the toughest out there, but the mix of obstacles and running was perfect. This is an OCR all about fun and the organizers and volunteers do an awesome job conveying that message.
